ADC Floors have top-notch professionals who know their trade and do it extremely well! We've hired them twice so far and will be again, when needed. Daniel, the owner, was really helpful with managing the original wood floor replacement project and his crew to ensure top-quality of the work being done. He communicates very well and was reachable throughout the project, being on-site several times as needed to check in on the work. More recently, we hired them to come back and put in some additional flooring for a transition area and they completed the work at the same high quality. We received a fair and comprehensive estimate for the work, Johnny managed the project, and everything got done at the same high standards and in a short time period which was helpful since other contractors were working in the space at the same time. Highly recommend ADC Floors!

Daniel Mihalescu, the owner of ADC Floors, came out to my condo in May of 2015 to give me an estimate of bringing back my wood floors of 5 1/5 years old to a newer look.  I thought my floors needed refinishing but that was not the case.  Thank God for this because it would have cost me more and more days to complete. I was impressed and had confidence in Daniel's opinion and ability to get the job done so I hired him to do the job. Another reason I allowed the job to be done is because I also did my research on working with wood floors so I has some wood terminology.  We agreed on 2 dates to get the job done on June 16th and 17th of 2015. The 2nd date was to put the sheen on the floor I believe which took no time.

Although I was out for work, my husband was at home. He said that 2 workers who showed up as scheduled.  They worked without a break. They Recoated my floor using Bona Recoat System.  This involves supplying and applying Bona Remove to safely remove any contaminates. They cleaned the floors using Bona Power Scrubber with Bona Rinse and then applied one coat of Bona Traffic.  I selected for the last part of the job a sheen of semi-gloss for my floors.

The complete job price was $1456.00 and I got a 10% discount, leaving a cost of $1310.40.  I was happy with the end result of my floors and the workers.  I like to thank Daniel and Denisa in the office for their professionalism.

All was good - see how the provide do section

This will be a rare less-than-stellar review of ADC.  Daniel was extremely professional, knowledgeable, punctual and what you would expect from the other glowing reviews.  The problems were with the crew that he hired to install my flooring.  It was a busy summer and I think he subcontracted the job.  While the main part of the job is just fine, the installers were sloppy and inattentive to detail.  
- Failed to follow an agreed upon layout around the fireplace, and when I asked to have it fixed was told by Daniel that it was too late because they'd already sanded the floors and it would be "too much work"
- They nicely wrapped the cabinetry and things on the floor that they were working on, but did not address the unbelievable amount of dust, wood shavings, dirt, etc that fell underneath the floor they were working on.
- Took a breaker out of my main electrical panel to access the power to run their tools, and did not put it back together, just left the breaker laying on the bottom of the box and the wires hanging loose.
- Did not replace the floor vent registers, which if they had actually put them back in place they would have learned that they hadn't cut the holes the right size so the registers did not fit any more.  I had to have them come back out and re-cut the flooring around the vents.
- I came home to find a nice tidy hole in the wall from my door knob that they had punched because they didn't replace the door stopper.  Daniel sent one of his employees to patch it and it was taken care of, but it shouldn't have happened in the first place.  
With all of that noted, it should be mentioned that the actual main part of the flooring is indeed very nicely done.  The finish is beautiful and they did a really good job of merging an old section of wood flooring with the newly installed wood. 
This was my first home renovation project and had I been more vigilant I might have caught the fireplace mistake "in time" for it to be remedied.  Most of my other issues were addressed and remedied in short order, but some of them should not have happened in the first place.

ADC was head and shoulders above the rest from the beginning. Daniel was very professional when he arrived to provide a quote, taking meticulous measurements, showing me samples of other work ADC had done and providing me with a detailed quote via email immediately. The price was comparable to the other 2 quotes I received. They removed the carpet, the floor boards and all of the doors and then replaced and reset everything when done. The project was started and finished on time and their attention to detail was perfect! We have since recommended them to friends for refinishing and they had an equally positive experience.

The floor installation process was excellent.  At every stage of the process ADC arrived at the scheduled time and completed the work within the scheduled time.  Daniel kept me informed about what to expect during each stage of the process.  All workers were very cordial, helpful, and efficient.  Their work was neat and they were meticulous about cleaning up at the end of each day.  As, or more importantly to me, their knew what they were doing.  I appreciated their attention to every small detail.  They had pride in the quality of their work.  I was very pleased with my beautiful new floor.  
Then, we used one of the recommended cleaning products on the floor and it left a stain.  I was very upset. I was impressed with Daniel's calm and attentive response to my concerns.  He persevered through conversation after conversation with the wood floor representatives and with representatives from the cleaning-product company to arrive at a resolution to my problem.  I could not be more pleased.  
I highly recommend ADC Floors.  It is a company that stands by its work and its word.

Daniel is fantastic. He was very thorough and his crew completed excellent work for us. We had some hiccups due to the wood supplier, but despite some logistical issues he stayed calm and kept us reassured through the process and even went to bat for us several times. I highly recommend his company and especially Daniel as he represents integrity and honesty that are seldom found in today's contractors. You have to meet him to understand what I'm talking about.

Last November, I decided to install hardwood floors.  First I went to Home Depot because I had heard good things about their flooring services, but I found the salespeople not very knowledgeable. I had them come to my space and take measurements anyway just to get an idea of the amount of flooring I would need and an estimate based on a bamboo product from their stock. They charged $35 for this service.  Their lack of knowledge about various types of floors troubled me though. I found ADC Floors on Angie's list.  After checking reviews and speaking with Daniel (owner), I decided I would use ADC for my installation.  I became really busy at work in December and had to put the project on hold.  In February I contacted ADC again. Daniel directed me to websites and showrooms to look at samples to think about the type of wood I might want. All along I had been thinking that I wanted bamboo, but Daniel said he had had some bad experiences with bamboo and he wouldn't recommend it.  I looked at literally hundreds of samples of all types of wood.  I would call Daniel with questions about the product. such as advantages/disadvantages, costs, etc. He did not try to steer me to companies whose products he represents. This went on for five months.  The project was a big financial investment for me and would affect my home for years to come so I wanted to make sure I was making the right decision.  Through this entire period, Daniel was very patient and never rushed me to make a decision.  He always made it clear that the most important thing was that I should be happy with my choice and that he had no problem with my taking such a long time.  In May I finally met Daniel in person when he came to my space to take his own measurements and bring more samples. He did not charge for this service. For environmental and cost reasons I still wanted bamboo.  After doing some searching on the internet, I found a bamboo product that seemed promising. I told Daniel about it, and he contacted the company, speaking at length with them.  He got samples from them, did research and testing and determined that it was a good product. A couple of weeks later I made my decision and  Daniel provided me with an estimate (lower than Home Depot's). We set a date for installation. He ordered the product, storing it at his location until a few days before installation.  ADC delivered it to my place a few days before installation for "acclimation." Daniel and his crew arrived on time that first day and all the days of the installation. Daniel spent a considerable amount of time snapping various chalk lines to determine the best way to lay out my irregularly shaped space.  I was pleased to see that he was as concerned about esthetics as I was.  His crew performed the work and completed it ahead of schedule.  They were very skilled and very polite.  They even repaired a busted door frame I had.  Now it looks better than it ever has. They also taped off areas to minimize dust and cleaned up after themselves very well. Bottom line--my floors are exceeding my expections (which were high) and I'm so happy I used ADC for this work.  I can't recommend them highly enough.

Floors are beautiful and match existing floors as well as can be expected. However, I want to commend the owner, Daniel, on exceptional customer service. He called every day to ensure that we were pleased with the progress and to clarify any details. Also, when my husband moved the refrigerator back into place, he gouged the new floor badly. Daniel met him with supplies and gave him instructions on how to fix the floor. He also checked up with us to see how the repair went (very well!).

Daniel was very professional, knowledgeable about his business and efficient.  HE emailed a carefully itemized estimate as he was leaving.  I would not hesitate to hire him after meeting him and based on previous reviews.  As it turns out, my contractor who is remodeling my kitchen has flooring people that he would like to have to the job.

Daniel and his team are awesome! Professionally delivered their service in a timely manner. Daniel did us a huge favor by squeezing my project into their tight schedule upon last minute request. Actually he even offered a free fix: our stupid mistake by stepping on before dried out. We are so happy with the floor. All minor scratches are gone with a smooth refinish. Regarding the price: Daniel stopped by and measured all in 10 minutes. Then a formal estimate with two types of finishing choices was emailed to us with all details laid out. No shaky hidden catches to worry about at all. And yes, definitely a competitive price!! Definitely a keeper in the future!! Big thanks to you, Daniel!!

Mr. Mihalescu explained to us what different price levels would give us.  He gave a good explanation of how, if we chose the additional intermediate layer of plywood above the somewhat irregular original softwood boards, the new final hardwood floor would be more level and more stable.  We elected to go with the additional layer of plywood.

Mr. Mihalescu supervised the delivery of the oak wood several days in advance of the installation, so that the oak did adust to the inside temperature before installation. 

Mr. Mihalescu did none of the installation himself, and did not adequately supervise his crew or check their work quality.  The crew laid the new flooring around one telephone jack, instead of moving the jack higher up on the baseboard before laying the floor.  (I had previously relocated several other telephone jacks myself.)  They also left a lot of unfilled nicks and nail holes.  After I happened to notice the most obvious errors by accident, I had to check the work very closely myself, on my hands and knees.  After I marked (with notes on masking tape) and pointed these defects out to Mr. Mihalescu, he did have the crew correct them.  However, he would not have done this unless I had noticed and complained, which I should not have had to do.

The crew did a good job of refinishing the pre-eexisting wood floors.  They were able to sand out some of the stained spots, reducing my casts for replacing damaged oak boards.

Lesson learned - if you hire Mr. Mihalescu's firm, watch them closely, be present while they work, and examine their work afterwards.  Make sure that you retain some funds until your are convinced that all work was done properly.  (I did just that, at one point refusing to make a requested partial paymenta until the work was farther along.)

Estimate was completed very professionally. They were very, very reasonable in their quote to remove carpet from two bedrooms. They suggested buffing the maple because it was too thin to sand.One of the bedrooms with maple had carpet. It had originally been 2 rooms and the floor was patched very poorly. They suggested changing up the order to replace the flooring with oak. The price was reasonable (not cheap--fair). The result was very pleasing. We asked about replacing maple (that had much patching) on the stair landing. They could have sold us a very expensive service. Instead, they told us why it would be very expensive and suggested carpet later instead. They worked under tight deadline to get the job done while the house was empty. My husband was a little disconcerted that they had not removed the trash when they were done. However, after a quick text message, the trash disappeared in under 90 minutes. 

These guys are fantastic! They saved my floors. I hired them to fix what another flooring vendor messed-up. I won't / did not review the OTHER vendor because we renegotiated the price and I agreed to not rate them as a condition of the price renegotiation. Anyway, back to ADC.. They were Super, Super, Professional. The floors look fantastic, their price was among the best bids I received (but don't buy on price alone, go with your gut and vendor rating). And, I felt like I hired some sort of "white glove" service the way ADC took the care and time to remove and put back our furniture. General Tip on Floor Refinishing - If your floors have been refinished in the past 10 years (maybe 15?) you may not need to have them "sanded" down to bare wood. Ask if you floors can just be "buffed" to abrade the existing finish in preparation for new coats of polymer. Sanding is very invasive to the floors, it's dusty, it's time-consuming and it's expensive. The modern floor finishes should just need to be buffed (roughed-up) prior to new coats of polymer.

Daniel is very communicative, easy going and easy to work with. He worked around our schedule, even when we added a room to the mix. He's been extremely flexible and and wonderful to work with. We love our "new" floors! GORGEOUS! If we could have given an A+ to punctuality, we would have. With a 6-month old and two parents who work outside of the home, it was wonderful knowing that they were going to be there on time, ready to work at the time they stated. Thank you!!

The process was simple, Daniel (the owner) was nice, and the day of crew was respectful, clean and quick. The only negative was that they had a minimum sq footage charge that wasn't noted in the quick quote and was a bit of a surprise when he came for a full quote. All in all, I'd use them again in a heartbeat.

ADC did great work in a short amount of time. They sanded the entire first floor of our place and stained three separate sample colors so I could choose what I wanted. Everything turned out perfect. Best money I spent on our renovation.

Process went **extremely** well from start to finish. Daniel was very prompt in responding to my initial inquiry/phone call, and quickly made an appt. to inspect my condominium and provide an estimate. Estimate was very clear, and all options were explained upfront. Work was scheduled approximately 2 weeks later (whereby Daniel called me a few days later to see if ADC could perform the work sooner than expected due to a chance in ADC's appointment schedule, so we went with the earlier date). Refinishing team was very pleasant/professional, and was very attentive to details. Between the refinishing team and Daniel, all of my questions were answered. Final cost was exactly as originally estimated. Cost was very competitive. Overall, had a great experience with ADC Floors and would definitely recommend ADC Floors for hardwood refinishing projects.

Fine. the workers were polite and gave me time to choose the stain from samples right on my floor, very useful. They were a bit sloppy on the application of the stain. I complained and Danny came out to fix the mistake. I did need to paint a bit more than planned due to splashing onto walls.

Danny and his crew did a great job. They always returned phone calls on time and did a good job communicating. They worked around a tight time-table for our kitchen remodel. They delivered the wood in advance, removed the old flooring and installed the new flooring in a short time window in order for us to get cabinets and electrical done. One issue was that they did not have enough wood to finish the job, but came back the next morning early before another contractor to finish. They are the most highly recommended of the many contractors that I hired for my job.
