I will start with the positive. Carol understands what a home should look like to sell quickly. She staged our home in good taste, this is the only reason I am giving her 2 stars. Unfortunately, her word; verbal or in writing, does not mean much. I would never do business with her again. She offered us the following: - Rental of all furniture , furnishings , art , accessories - Deliver /install & Dismantle / Pick up . Services performed by insured stager - Living Room - Dining Room - Family Room - Kitchen - Master Bedroom - Two bathrooms Time Frame : 6 months Total Cost : *$3,600.00 - (Discounted from $4,000.00 ) If rental exceeds 6 months , you will be billed $125.00 per month . Terms : 50% Deposit / Balance due at delivery . Summary of our conversation : I’m glad to reimburse you / credit of $600.00 if I receive my furniture in 90 days . I request a 7 day window to move out my furniture . We sold our home quickly and closed on it within 45 days. She was told by my realtor (who recommended her) 5 days prior that we might close within 5 days or 8 days. She told him either is fine and she will have the furniture out before closing. Once we closed I contacted her to ger the $600 credit. She told me I was not getting the credit because I did not give her the 10 day notification required in order to receive the credit. I was perplexed since I do not remember such a conversation. I looked into the contract (I copied and pasted above), and no such thing was ever requested of me. We were supposed to have the furniture returned under 90 days, we only had it for 45 days. That was the only requirement for the credit. The realtor contacted her as well since he also did not understand why she was refusing to stand by her contract. She never made it right and it became quickly apparent that she never meant to give us the credit. She offered it to get our business but then decided to use a random excuse to bow out of the arrangement (typical bait and switch). Fortunately for me I have a wonderful realtor who made it right by us. Beware of Carol and her business. If you decide to do business with her keep in mind she may not abide by her contract (written or verbal). Pay only with Visa or Paypal so you have recourse. Better yet, use someone ethical!

The correspondence had been wonderful with them and they have been very timely.

Carol was very responsive when I made contact. She reviewed on-line photos of the home needing staging and quoted me $2000, then it became $3000. After she went the house, the price was $4000. I asked her to cut back rooms and she refused. As she would allow the items to remain for an extended period of time at no additional charge, we went ahead with the project. The entire home was staged and she did a nice job. The trouble began when several months later, we had an offer on the home. From the day it was listed as "Contingent" Carol sent me texts on an almost daily basis asking when she could remove items. I explained that we still had to get through attorney review and the seller's financing contingency before I was sure the home would likely sell and we would not need the items any longer. During this period, she asked to remove a couple of things and we agreed - set up the alarm code on the fly due to the short notice but then no one ever showed up. We then set up a removal date but when the buyers did not meet the financing deadline, we had to push off the removal. Carol again asked if she would remove some items which we agreed to. Despite sending her an alarm code, her people set off the alarm and caused a rush for me to handle that. When we finally had a "for sure" sale, she removed things a day before the scheduled date which was fine. I know from her perspective, she feels she was "at my beck and call" but she failed to see that if she had just allowed us to get through the required deadlines related to home sale contingencies, I could have given her notice one time and been done but her persistence at asking to remove things before we felt comfortable that the sale would go through led to a great deal of stress. I see now that I should have added to the contract that the items would remain until all contingencies were met or something like that. Bottom line, the work was good but it was stressful to work with her.
