We have an Australian brand and they are engineered differently. The dryer had been returned to the store because the previous owner said it made a noise but the serviceman hadn’t been able to find the noise. We bought it anyway because we are retired and have all the time in the world to solve this problem, and sure enough it started make the noise after a bit. After the third try, we managed to get a guy that could repair the thing. It is sporadic about making the noise depending on what sort of load is in there, but they should have had enough experience to know what it was. After about a year and a half it has been fixed and it has pretty much stayed that way. I don’t believe all of the service people have been trained the way they should be. They did come out when we called them but they lacked the patience to wait until it made the noise. I might be stuck with this company because they might be the only ones that can repair this brand of machine.
