A & B FLOORING

Went perfectly.

This company did a nice job, but if you have to live in your house when this is work is underway, I'm not sure there's any way to make it a good experience. I got 5 estimates before hiring A&B. They were one of the 2 lowest estimates. A&B did the work in 4 days, and I expected it to take longer. They worked long hours to get the job done in that time. They helped me move a couple of larger pieces (VERY helpful), and they changed out some risers that weren't included in the original estimate. They also filled in some big cracks. The new flooring looks great, and the quality seems good. I hesitate to rave because it's one of those things where time will tell. But so far so good! There is one room where carpet meets hardwood that needs some work - apparently I need to call a carpet guy to fix it. I was warned, but I'm still a bit confused about why I now need to call a carpet guy when these guys are FLOORING guys. (carpet is flooring, isn't it?) This was such a stressful experience. I'm glad it's over and done with! When I have to have my basement floors redone, I'll call these guys. I won't want to, but I will.

They were very punctual and did a great job matching up the new tile with some older tile that was installed in the basement bathroom.

Got 7 quotes and this was by far the lowest price, but the quality was good. Workers were clean and the floors look great. All requests were done including priming molding reinstalling closet doors. Took 3 full days. Same company, with non unioned workers, that installed all hardwood floors in large town home complex.

This company is experienced and offers reasonable pricing. They arrived on time to measure and give an estimate. They also arrived as scheduled when they came out to lay the tile. It looks incredible and they are a great company to do business with.

The entire process took about a week. John and his crew were extremely detail oriented which really shows in the end product. We are very pleased with the quality of the work and the cost was 100% lower than other quotes I had received.

They were prompt with their estimate, and provided a fair price for the job. The work was scheduled quickly. The workers arrived on time, were polite, and did a thorough job and addressed all the items that were pointed out before the work started. They accept credit card payments, which is extremely convenient.

Overall they did a fine job and the price was great. The were very clean (finishing floors on site creates lots of dust and they basically sealed the area they worked in).

VERY PROMPT TO GIVE AN ESTIMATE AND SCHEDULE THE WORK. THE QUALITY OF THE WORK WAS AVERAGE. THE AREA WHERE THEY FAILED THE MOST WAS IN THE LACK OF PROPER SUPERVISION AND INSTRUCTION AT THE JOB SITE. THE NEW FLOOR WAS LAID THE WRONG DIRECTION WHEN INSTALLED. THERE WERE NUMEROUS ERRORS MADE IN THE DETAIL WORK THAT WAS REQUESTED MAINLY DUE TO THE LACK OF COMMUNICATION TO THEIR WORKERS. A 4-5 DAY PROJECT TOOK THEM ABOUT 4 WEEKS TO COMPLETE BECAUSE THEY HAD TO KEEP COMING BACK TO FIX THEIR MISTAKES. THEY DID NOT DO A SATISFACTORY JOB OF CLEANING UP. ANOTHER ANNOYING THING, THE BILLING OFFICE CONTINUALLY REQUESTED THE FINAL PAYMENT BEFORE I HAD AN OPPORTUNITY TO INSPECT THE WORK.
