Found a leek in the basement. Called Tritan plumbing and was told they would call back. They did not call back so I called Able.

They're really good and honest and have a reasonable price. They guys were really good and even took the time to identify the objects in the toilets for me. I asked them to do another job and they honestly told me that they were concerned about doing work on them. They also told me that there might be a breakage, but didn't know for sure and instead of scamming me and telling me there was one, they said they'd put a camera down there before they assumed that.

I purchased for replacement and had installed a utility sink faucet. Initially, the plumber came twice. The first day to evaluate the faucet and what would be needed. The second day was to actually replace the faucet. The first day, the plumber spent 10 minutes assessing the faucet and 45 minutes talking about his opinions and personal life experiences. I continually ended the conversation and moved to the door, but he would not leave. I am certain that he was being friendly, but it is not professional to take up an additional 45 minutes of the customer's time with your own personal opinions about misc irrelevant issues.
The second time he came, he started to do the exact same thing and then even stopped working to expound on his thoughts. I had to ask him to please finish the job as I had things to do. A customer should not have to do that. The faucet then sprayed water all out of the sink and I had to request that he fix that situation. He left and returned with an additional piece to better direct the water spray. The actual work was a 20 minute job. He took up about 2 hours of my time including leaving and having to return. He also did not move a towel, but stepped all over it with his work boots while assessing the tub faucet. It was a towel which was on the floor in one of the bathrooms for use when I get out of the shower. And, he used my hand towel, without permission, in the util room to wipe off dirt, etc. from the area surrounding the faucet when he was changing it. I used this company several years ago which is why I thought to go back to them. The service, etc was better that time.
I called back on a Saturday and left a message as I noticed that the faucet was mounted crooked with one of the water handles almost hitting the base. I called again on the following Monday and spoke with them about coming out that week to adjust the faucet.
Almost two weeks later, having not heard from them, I called again. I was told that they stopped by the other day because they were in the neighborhood. They had not scheduled an appointment with me. They had not called me to see if they could just stop by. I was not home. I had to say "You can't just stop by, I need an appointment date and time."
The plumber, finally, made an appt to come and adjust the faucet. The appt was scheduled for 3 p.m. On the day of the appt, he called three minutes prior to the appt time. I did not get to the phone in time so he left a message. I called right back. He called to say he was watching the office and would not be able to come at 3 p.m. and asked if he could come at 4 p.m. I told him that he could as what else could I do. The plumber called at 4:08 p.m. to tell me he would be at my house within 10 minutes. He arrived and when attempting to adjust the faucet, decided he would have to take the whole thing apart including the pipes to make it work. Fortunately, a friend was there to tell the plumber that all he needed was to have someone hold the pipes, which is what my friend did, and then the plumber was able to properly adjust the faucet.
While the plumber was a nice person, I just don't think this is professional behavior.

I am about forty five minutes away from the property and the serviceman called and wanted to make the appointment earlier than previously agreed on. I explained that I did not live that close. When I finally got there, the job was already done and they were gone. I had to have them come back to clean up some leakage on the floor, but they did send someone right over and they did clean it up right away at no extra charge.

He did not want me to do that. He told me he would not be responsible if it ran over as my ejector pump was not working right. I told him that was true, as another co. had told me that it wasn't working correctly. I asked him what it would cost to resolve the problem and he said $200, but that would be another job. My bathtub is still not fixed, I have made phone calls and no one will call me back.
Response from Able & Willing Plumbing
"I am very surprised that we only charged her $300. Usually we charge $230 for rodding out a line. Going out to buy the valve stem and installing it and then checking her ejector pump she should have been charged more. Our cost for replacing a ejector pump is approx. $550 I don't know how she came up with $200. She expects us to do all this work and running around for the difference of what she is asking of. $11 would not even pay for gas. She purchased the screw obviously she purchased the wrong screw. The screw not fitting the stem valve has nothing to do with the installation of the stem valve. Adding-she has never called here complaining about our work."
