A Better Door & Window is a family-owned business that has been serving the Chicagoland and NW Indiana area since 1978. We are a full-service door and window company offering sales, service, and installation for Residential applications. We are very happy with our entire experience with A Better Door and Window. Rocko did the first inspection at our home and with his expertise he helped me make a great choice on a CHI Garage door. The installers Bob and Charlie did excellent work installing the door. My next project is new windows and patio door so its an easy choice to start with A Better Door and Window. Keith

Quoted price was excellent and salesman broken down the quote showing price of each option exactly as I requested. Door arrived at vendor from factory within 4-5 weeks as promised. Then I scheduled delivery to home and their truck arrived on time. Driver was professional and helped unload and unwrap the door unit. Nothing was missing and never had to contact the vendor with any issues.

Jeff from A Better Door and Window arrived on time, explained what he'd be doing and approximately how long it would take. He went to work immediately and didn't stop until the new Liftmaster opener was installed. Despite below zero temperatures, he got the opener installed and did not short cut his explanation at the end of installation. He thoroughly explained how everything works and how we should maintain our opener, door springs and hinges. He provided our instruction book and also explained that the instructions were also on the unit itself. The opener seems to be working perfectly. Really terrific experience. We even got to use our Angie's List discount. Thanks Jeff!

I live in a gated community with a fairly strict HOA which governs the appearance of all town homes in the development. I asked the salesperson 5 times if the window exterior would be painted to match the exterior when finished. Five times he told me he had extensive experience with our HOA and they would gladly come out and paint our windows when done. Only problem was that was a false statement. Our HOA was adamant about not painting the additions until they were scheduled to be painted in 2019. We live in a cold weather area where winters can be extreme, so that scenario is totally unacceptable. I contacted the salesperson after speaking to the HOA. He pulls out the contract where I initialed my agreement that the windows would be left unfinished. I relied on his word to my regret. Do not do business with A Better Door & Windows in Mokena, IL

"We have done many jobs in your gated community, your HOA always stains or paints all newly installed unfinished material on exterior. Your HOA has specific colors they use, we have no control over when they stain or paint. In our proposal that you signed it stated exterior trim to be unfinished cedar 1 by material, which was also discussed. A Better Door & Window did exactly what our proposal said we were going to do. Sorry this is an inconvenience for you but the problem is between you & your HOA, not A Better Door & Window."

After some initial confusion over the signed contract being submitted, they ordered the window and installed it. The initial problem was I thought the contract was signed and submitted so the window was ordered (4 to 6 week delivery), they were waiting on an "ok" to proceed with the order. It delayed the install, but it all worked out ok. They were a good group to work with.
