Pro-Mow Lawn Care

Pro-Mow was not successful in maintaining our fertilizing with the result of a weed free yard. The slit-seeding was unsuccessful as well. Upon taking over our yard ourselves, our yard looked better in one season than it did the entire five years we were paying them to do the job. We can only surmise regarding the quality or placement of their product. We used products from a local store and did it ourselves. While there is time in completing this task, the result is a weed free, green grass yard vs. the thin grass with weeds. After doing it ourselves, we have commented, 'Now, this is what a yard is supposed to look like after it's been treated properly.'

Pro-Mow is very professional and does a good job.  Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Overall, I am happy with Pro-Mow. They usually do a good job mowing and trimming. We had one instance this summer where it looked terrible but we called to let them know and they came back and redid it to our satisfaction. Their price for mowing is great considering the size of our yard, but the other services seem a bit pricey to me.

We called for an estimate to have our yard dethached, plugged and slit-seeded. They told us that they did not de-thatch but the plugging would get rid of our brown thatch. We opted for them to go ahead and perform the service. We were mainly concerned about our back yard as this is where we spend most of our time. When they got here they were unable to get their plugging machine through our gate to the back yard. They went ahead and did the plugging in the front yard and slit seeded without letting us know that they were unable to plug the back. They knew that I was home but went ahead with the service and didn't say a word about being unable to get to the back. I had to call and tell them that they did not plug the back yard and he said that they could not get the machine through the gate. I told him that it would have been nice to know before they did the work because we would have opted not to have them do the work and call another company. He said that he would adjust the price. The treatment did not get rid of the brown thatch as he said it would. The slit-seeding was poorly done.. You could not see many slits in the ground.I don't think that the machine was set deep enough. We watered twice a day for two weeks and did not get hardly any new grass. We got the bill and he adjusted the price of the plugging but not enough. I would not recommend this lawn service company to anyone for slit-seeding. I feel like we really got a bad deal. and wasted $175.00.

I received a response after submitting a letter of complaint with a full refund and a letter of apology. I feel a better about the conscience of
this company. I had called and expressed my concerns vocally but felt like I received a better response from my written complaint. I will of course send a check for a lesser amount. I do not wish to waste their time for services. I feel like $100.00 would be a fair amount. They did aerate my front and side yard. I still do not feel like the slit seeding was done properly but I admire the character of the proprietor to make things right. This gesture does help bridge the gap.
