"We are fully aware of the fact that the antenna we used is UHF only. we carry a VHF antenna with us at all times, but PBS 47.1 is a UHF station 36 mi away and PBS 12.1 is a VHF station 34 mi away. For clarity, I have included our email dialogue: On Sep 18, 2017, at 5:50 PM, Scott F wrote: > I?ll be happy to pay the invoice but I have a couple of comments first. I understand your drive charge for your installer to make a trip to Bloomington. However, as it turns out, he was over here anyway for the Oberwiess security install. Since he had to be here anyway, the ?drive to sight? charge does not seem to be inline with expenses actually incurred and just another profit add on. More importantly, I told the installer how important it was that I get ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX and PBS. There didn?t seem to be much work put into finding the channels I needed. The first test was on an old tv that I had lying in the basement. Once I explained that tv didn?t work, a second test was attempted on the tv in the family room. We didn?t get a connection there, wo the installer left assuming the channels that showed up on the broken tv would work. There was no PBS anywhere. Now the Peoria stations are at 285 degrees and the closet PBS is at 158 degrees (WILL). WTVP is at 285 degrees but is in the red zone distance wise. Please let me know if you want to address any of these issues. Once I have your response, I?ll send my remittance. I will send it either way, but I?d like to here what you say. Scott, Your appointment was for 10 in the morning originally and the Oberweis trip was going to be an afterthought after your install. You switched the time so we went to Oberweis first instead, but the trip to Bloomington was entirely to come do your job. It just so happened that I had something else to do in town should your install go quickly in the morning. But I had no idea how your job would go or whether we would have any time to go check in on the progress at Oberweis. My estimate clearly stated there would be a trip charge. So in the interest of fairness, even though we accommodated your schedule at the last minute, I'll split the trip charge with you. My installer spent 3 hours in the attic on a 80° day trying to align your antenna and making all kinds of effort to get in your stations. To characterize it as not much effort being made is patently false and frankly insulting. The reception issues are mostly because you wouldn't allow the antenna to be mounted outside where it would perform better. And it would've been able to be mounted on a mast and rotated to all the cardinal directions that you're stating. Instead your antenna was separated into two separate pieces and put in different parts of the attic hung from rafters attempting to get your stations. You also told me that you had your digital tuner box or whatever widget it was that you were going to use on hand so that we could install the antenna to the actual tuner you were going to use. Th"
