We contacted Brad and a couple of other agents on friends' recommendation. We met him at the condo, listened to his comments and asked some questions. We chose him instead of another agent because we didn't like the other firm's practice of emphasizing dual agency, and charging clients for a party for other agents to stay on their good side in case they actually do have to work with them (instead of dual agency).
We listened to Brad's advice for pricing, for going on the market, for handling repairs ( and I started out with a seller's inspection by Scott Dalby of Masterpiece Inspections). Brad's advice was sound in every instance. He negotiated with the buyer's agent over about a week, and brought us a deal that was actually better than I thought the sale would be. We agreed to sell for $90,000, providing $500. closing credit, starting out with an asking price of $100,000, which we dropped to $95,000. My husband and I have bought and sold homes in California, Arizona, and Illinois. We believe Brad handled our sale entirely professionally, and are completely satisfied.

I was not happy at all with my agent. The agent and the person at the bank knew how much i wanted to spend a month. The entire process I was told my payments would be in the range I wanted/could pay. It wasn't until closing on the last page I was to sign I saw the monthly amount, and it was $400.00 more than what I was told. I tried for over 2 years to get the lender to work with me to get the payments lowered. The lender always came up with one excuse after another. As a result, the house is on the market, and the lender keeps refusing the potential buyers. The buyers want to move in right away, but the lender says they have to wait 60 days. This house will probably go into foreclosure before it sells, because of the lender. I think if the agent for ReMax did their job and showed me the houses that were in my price range my first home buying experience wouldn't be such a failure. The only thing the agent cared about was getting a commission and nothing else.

Brad was easy to get along with, very honest, and very flexible in the times he could show houses. He helped us with everything from recommending home inspectors, to recommending mortgage companies, to helping is in making an offer. As a matter of fact I just talked to him today, two months after closing to get some recommendations on local home improvement services. Highly recommended!
