We specifically asked them to dig out the pampas grass roots,  After working 8 hours, they left.  We discovered that they had not removed the pampas grass roots, and had not removed the small trees that we requested be pulled out.  They had simply cut down the pampas grass and sprayed it with herbicide to try to kill the roots.  This may be a problem if we every want to grow anything in that spot again - and we had planned on planting a bush in the area that was occupied by the pampas grass.
Every small tree that and bushes that we asked to be removed, they simply cut down to 6" off of the ground.  If we hadn't inspected the garden, they would have gotten away with it.
We recalled them, they came out and (for an additional charge) pulled the small trees and ground the stump.  They seemed reluctant to do the work, or they simply don't know how to do the work.  
When we paid their initial invoice, we sent a check for the whole amount, and they posted the check for $100 less than we paid.  After several phone calls, and after we proved that we had paid the full amount, they called back and apologized.  Obviously sloppy book keeping.  
All-in-all, a poorly run company.  They don't appear to be true landscapers or have any gardening experience.

I contacted Prairieview Landscaping for a free estimate and they came out to the house within a week of calling and had the free estimate within 4 days of the visit. We contacted a few other companies for estimates, but we liked Praireview's the best. Once I emailed and told them that we wanted to have the work done, they started immediately. Weed treatment one day, the next day someone else was out at the house and aerating the lawn, and that afternoon another crew was working on filling the bare spots with topsoil and seed.

Only downside is that is was a bigger job than they anticipated on filling the bare spots in the lawn and that job is still pending completion. However, it is giving us time to water the other areas and be ready for when they return to finish the job. Also, they have not billed me, yet, as the job is not complete. Very professional, polite, efficient employees. I plan on calling them again in the future.

so far so good--looks very nice--good instructions on maintenance--they seemed to be efficient and were neat--and they left the area in good condition between work days...tools were put away, materials were out of the way--etc...

I thought they did an excellent job. They took their time and did not hurry. For what they did I think they did an excellent job.
