Scott was very nice, knowledgeable, and forward with us. We got an old farm house inspected and he was very honest with us, and we appreciated his time and effort. Money well spent.

Scott is awesome! He is a former fire fighter and has a deep knowledge of local ordinances. He took dozens of photos to document his work and delivered a ~30 page report the day after the inspection. He identified a number of latent issues and was very patient with my many many questions. I have been recommending Scott to all my coworkers and will certainly schedule with him again next time.

Excellent. This is the second time I have worked with Scott. The first time was when I was selling a home and this time when I am buying a home. He is regarded as "the  best" in town which is why it takes a while to get on his calendar. He is very thorough and spends about 3 hours doing the inspection. He is very willing to answer questions. I highly recommend him.

Scott Dalby is a true professional and a fantastic inspector. He saved us many times his fee in headaches and negotiated savings with the sellers by catching issues we hadn't. He was extremely pleasant to work with, and even helped us with project ideas for increasing the value of the property further! (Just don't ask him for referrals on who to contact to do the work; it is a conflict of interest, and Scott was professional enough to refrain from this). 
Scott was very thorough in his inspection, and never was frustrated to answer our questions no matter how seemingly obvious the answer was. He also came back without complaint and on his own initiative to do a second Radon test when the first one reported an error.
I would not hesitate to choose MasterSpec when I need a home inspection in the future.

Scott is very professional, patient and courteous. He was ready to ask questions during the whole process. He showed me how to turn off/on the pilot of fireplace, water heater, electricity control, and even the electrical outlet safety bottom. He could find every tiny problems, even the holes of the window screen. He put down a note on AC to let me know what direction is correct for filters. He also gave me useful advices on upgrade. (such as changing washing machine water supply hoses).
My agent highly recommended him and said Scott is the best in our area. I have to admit my agent is correct. Scott really did a great job! I would definitely recommend him to whoever wants to do a home inspection or radon test. 

We would highly recommend Scott from MasterSpec. We're going through the process of buying our first home and were nervous with what the inspection would find. Scott was very thorough, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. After he finished his inspection he took us through the house and showed us everything he found, and gave us ample time to ask questions. At no point did we feel rushed. He gave us valuable instruction and advice regarding our sump pump, fireplace, whirlpool tub, etc.--all things we were unfamiliar with maintaining as first time home owners. We were extremely satisfied with our home inspection and feel confident that he found every little thing that could potentially become an issue in the future.

THis is the second home that I have had inspected by Scott.  He does a great job and is very thorough and very helpful in teaching me about different specs of the home.  The first home that he inspected for me in 2011 was actually the second time he inspected that home (he inspected it as a new construction originally).  On this house which was a new construction he did not find any major issues and provided some tips for a finished basement and measures to keep it dry if the water heater or sump pump fails.  Highly recommend!

Scott Dalbey, the owner, came highly recommended by our realtor. He did the inspection himself. He is both very professional and very personable.

The provider did an excellent job.  He was prompt, curtious, informative, knowledgeable, professional and open to all questions.  He produced the final written report the same day.  It was detailed, well organized, and easily understood.

Found issues that the guy who did a pre-inspection for the seller did not report.  The inspection saved us $8,000 on our home purchase as we raised the most critical inspection issues with the sellers.

I called this provider twice as well as emailed to try and set up a home
inspection. Never once did I get an answer or a return phone call or
email. No services rendered and I did not pursue this inspector again
after. If you can't even return calls to potential customers, I would
rather not find out how long it takes you to complete services.

It was a very positive experience overall.

Scott was recommended by my realtor. I was very impressed with his professionalism and the thorough job he did at our home. He was here for 3 hours and went everywhere (roof, attic, crawl space, etc). He was able to quote the price before her came over based on our square footage. His final report was emailed to me in the same day and it was 21 pages with easy to understand explanations and photos of trouble spots. It has become a valuable blueprint for what we need to focus on and prioritize. Money well spent.
Also, I am not very knowledgeable about homes and he patiently explained things to me that I did not understand. I also used the Angie's List coupon to get $15 off.

He was very professional and extremely thorough.  He came back for the follow up appointment and he went through every single thing that he said need to be fixed.  He made sure that it was fixed.  I liked his attention to detail and that he went through every single thing in the house.  He tested actually everything.

He was very professional, personable and we really liked him. He took pictures when he was down there so he could show us what he found. He was thorough, knowledgeable and knew what he was talking about. He was very responsive and quick to come out after we called. I will use him again in the future.

MasterSpec was recommended through my realtor. Met Scott at the house and started going through the home inspection with him. He spent about 2.5 hours going through the house thoroughly and made it a point to show me any preventative maintenance that I could do on the appliances throughout the house. Did an excellent job of answering any questions that I had during the inspection. He even gave me a recommendation for a carpet cleaner! Overall I was extremely happy with Scott's services and would highly recommend him for a future home inspection!
