KELLER WILLIAMS REAL ESTATE

We picked Bill after interviewing a 3 real-estate agents. We picked Bill because he gave us a very realistic no-hype estimate of the selling price. He took great photographs, listed the home, and eventually sold it in just about a month. It was not an easy market and we had four similar homes on our street or nearby on the market. Bill was an excellent seller's agent in our experience. He was honest, straight-up with the good and the bad of the house, very responsive and professional. It helped that we did not have unrealistic expectation of the the value of the house.

A relative who is a realtor in another city advised me to check with two real estate agencies to have them advise me on the selling price and to make sure the price was about the same. If it was she said just to go with whoever I felt more comfortable with and if it was different, get a third opinion. The agent from Keller Williams priced the house at $20,000 less than the other agent. The third opinion agreed with the higher price. I suspected that the person from Keller Williams might of been in business with someone wanting the house at a cheaper price, although I have no proof of this. I went with another agency and priced it at the $20,000 additional price knowing that there would be negotiations and it most likely would sell for less. I ended up selling the home for $9,000 more than the Keller Williams' suggested starting price!! I figure there would have been pressure to take a lower price during negotiations no matter what the asking price was and that I probably made about $15,000 more going with another agency. I do not know if all of this was just a honest difference of opinion or if something was going on, but either way I am very glad I did not go with Keller Williams. I only dealt with one agent there out of the many people there, so this does not reflect on everyone at this agency.

They're a large firm and they have some good reviews. The agents were excellent. The price ended up going a little higher than our budget but we found the house we wanted.
