J&K Painting

It went so well, I plan to hire them the next time I paint anywhere in the house!

I contacted J&K Painting in the fall of 2015 to get a price quote. They were easy to contact, responded promptly, and gave me a fair price to do the work.  J&K was ready to start the job in the spring of 2016 as agreed upon. J&K did a fantastic job with the painting. The painting crew members all had a great work ethic - they were punctual, put in full days of painting with minimal breaks, paid great attention to detail, and left the work site clean and tidy at the end of each work day.  It was a big painting project and took several weeks to complete due to frequent rainy days. But the crew members were always upbeat and happy to be on the job.  The end result is incredible and all of the buildings look fantastic. I cannot speak more highly of the whole team; I recommend J&K Painting without any reservations.

Adam Sharp showed up to paint our house with a 2 day notice which we really appreciate. Our house was about to go on the market and we needed it done right away. He did a fantastic and very professional paint job and we are really happy with the outcome. He also picked out the paint color on his own since we were not in town to do it ourself. We trusted that it would turn out well and it did! Thank you Adam and J&K painting! We would definitely use you a gain and will recommend your company!

Because of recent EPA changes, J&K couldn't power wash my home as they'd originally planned. They washed it BY HAND, but even with all that work the price didn't change. They scraped and patched (A LOT), and spot primed - but really, the house was almost entirely primed because it needed so much work. Adam was helpful with paint samples and the products they used from Sherwin-Williams were wonderful. I didn't interact a ton with owners Jeff and Kristen, but they were very friendly and professional, and did come to the job site frequently to make sure everything was going as planned. 
A few things went wrong along the way, but J&K was quick to resolve things. A storm window was broken and immediately replaced. A plastic flower pot broke when they moved it and Adam was absolutely determined to find a great new one, even though I insisted he not worry. They had some issues with their crew but it didn't affect the outcome of the job. Rain was a much bigger factor - it stretched everything out much longer than it should have taken. I was understanding, of course, but Adam still apologized several times. He was really super attentive to every aspect of the job and how I felt about it. 
Text and phone responses were immediate and thorough. When they'd finish working for the day the house and yard were put back together as if no one had been there. Spotless. 
I highly recommend J&K. I"d put this project off for far too long, because I dreaded the hassle and was certain the cost would be crazy high. Well, there was very little hassle (just the normal stress of having workers around) and the cost for everything they did was VERY reasonable. Our neighbors can't stop praising the work and how "it's a whole new house" - the change is truly breathtaking. I'm so happy and proud.

The service provided was wonderful!  They showed up on time, ready to go.  They were extremely respectful to us, the home owner and to our belongings.  I would have them come back and do more work in a heartbeat.

The painting was completed more or less on schedule. They have done a good job and I'm happy. After the painting was completed a good clean up was done of the home. Adam Sharp (the owner) is very focused on customer satisfaction. He makes every effort to do a good job. At the end of the day I would review the painting and give a feedback on places were touch-ups/ extra coat were required and it would be done the next day. He has used good quality paint. When some small damages were caused by his crew he made sure they were fixed/ replaced. The crew that worked were good too.  Adam is patient, pleasant and easy to work with. I would recommend Adam and use him again if needed.

J&K and crew were exceedingly professionalal, on time, kept in regular communication, responsive, and took the time to overview and outline every step they were making.  Attention to detail was high, with J&K allowing for appropriate temperatures to be in place to begin and finish painting.  Patches that were needed were done properly and if needed were redone.  Emails were answered promptly.  Questions were answered completely.  Quality of products used is excellent.  Finish was better than expected/hoped.  I highly recommend J&K and encourage you to keep in regular contact with them via email.  It makes the process easier to manage.

I couldn't be happier with the outcome of this job. I got three estimates and Adam came in with the lowest estimate by a considerable margin.  Despite being quite busy he began the job within 2 weeks of the initial estimate.  His crew was professional, friendly, and efficient, and finished the job over a weekend. They left the job area clean, and the quality is excellent. I would definitely recommend J&K Painting.

From my initial meeting with Adam I knew I was dealing with a professional. He was punctual, beat his deadlines and came in under budget! His team cleaned up every evening and treated my home like it was their own. They had some significant wall repairs to make and now everything looks like new! I had a great experience and am very pleased with the final results. I will definitely use them again!

Interior painted ceilings and walls throughout the 4/3 house. Adam was responsive and professional. His crew worked diligently. They were polite and thorough and cleaned up at the end of every day. They prepped the walls well, filling and sanding irregularities. Adam and the crew communicated well so I knew their plan each day. The job was completed in 5 or 6 days. I am very pleased with their work.

Adam is great to work with, very amicable.  We typically bid out our jobs and he comes in lowest oftentimes and does a fantastic job!  He is delayed sometimes (weather, etc.) but if there is a deadline, he meets it.  I have recommended him several times.  It is important to have a good network of contractors.

He did an outstanding job. He would not leave until it was absolutely perfect and we were satisfied. I would definitely use him again.  He's professional and reasonable. Customer satisfaction is the most important thing to him. I'd highly recommend him. I can't wait for him to finish our house. I guess he does outside work, too. He's very much a perfectionist. He's a great guy to work with. He's on time.

Adam is the new owner of J & K painting. I had several people give me quotes for the work. Adam came in at the middle with several other contractors. He was more professional than the people who gave me lower quotes, though. I found him to knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and very open to brainstorming about the project.
Adam is an excellent communicator and always made me feel as though my projects were a priority to him. While he does hire a crew to do a lot of the work, Adam drops by frequently to check on the work and he will often join them in the painting. He was very patient with me especially since I changed the project on him a few times (sometimes adding work and other times deciding to not do a room we had discussed). We were getting our house ready to go on the market and "curb appeal" was very important to us. Adam made sure that his work helped us achieve that goal. He would also see things that needed to get done (such as a small repair on the screen porch) and he would just do it. Or when the power washing didn't entirely clean the gutters he offered to paint them as part of the original quote. His crew also helped me wash the upstairs windows since I did not have ladders to reach them. I worked with one of his employees on this project. It took much longer than I expected and I offered to pay more for this work, but Adam insisted it be a part of the original bill.
Something I appreciated was that Adam double checked all of the work his employees did and if he was not happy with something he would redo it (although this happened rarely). I was in a crunch to get the house on the market and bad spring weather (a cold March and rainy April) had pushed back the exterior work. Adam volunteered to come on a Saturday and Sunday to help finish the work so we could go on the market when we wanted to which was above and beyond since the weather was out of our control.
I would definitely hire J & K painting again. We have received so many compliments on the work Adam did. I am very appreciative.

After the walk through for the estimate, I received the contract that evening via email attachment.  They began two days after I signed the estimate and paid the downpayment. They finished in less than 3 days. The level of professionalism is head and shoulders above the other companies I asked to give me an estimate.  My wish was to get the job done ASAP so I could show the property, and they accommodated my request. They cleaned up and did a final walk through their last day and sent me the final bill via email. The first person who looked at my condo complimented the paint job and asked for the company information as he has a dozen other condos and said this was the best job he'd seen.  The painted baseboards appeared to be new as evidenced by the prospective buyer asking if I had replaced the baseboards.  No, just had J&K paint them.

He was very good. His price was really reasonable.

We had a little communication problem regarding lien waivers, but once we were on the same page, it went very well. They came in and worked on the job continuously as weather permitted. In the fall, that's what is needed and they provided easily. Because they took the initiative to replace some rotten siding themselves, we were able to have the job completed by our deadline. Jeff said the siding they replaced was very difficult with lots of cuts and fitting around a window. It was as professional as their painting job so we were very happy.

In 2007, we bought a house out in the country that was built in 1992 and remodeled in 2003. There were several exterior doors that were in need of repainting. J&K came out to our home and gave us an estimate to do preparation work (including scraping the peeling paint, sanding and applying a primer), a start date and a completion date. The work was done in all respects as agreed and the finished product exceed our expectations.
