"Hi [Member name removed], At Cramer Siding & Window, we truly appreciate all types of feedback. However, we don't have a record in our system of assisting you with a home improvement project. We ask that you double check that you have the right company. Thanks, Cramer Siding & Window"
They removed the old siding, nailed on the new, and showed me a problem with our gates, which had been mounted on our house. Since we bought siding with styrofoam insulation, the new siding projected about three inches further from the walls, and the gates' rods no longer rested in the concrete meant to hold them where they met in the center. The installers had no idea how to handle this. I like to hire workmen who have experience and training enough to suggest solutions when they encounter unforeseen problems on the job, but this pair had no ideas. They finally hung the gates back on the house, too high, with one crunching into the downspout if we tried to open it. They were gone.
My family and I picked up our yard and our neighbors', where materials had blown. We called them to re-attach pieces of siding that blew loose in our midwestern winds. To be fair, they came to do that promptly. Several more pieces have been loose over the last sixteen months. The trim surrounding the spigots spends more time on the ground than it does on the house. I finally contacted another company who installed posts beside the house, mounted our gates on them, and re-attached loose pieces of siding. I'm pleased with the other company''s work.
I wish Angie's List had had more reviews of siding companies when I was searching. I wish I had done a little more research. I probably should have had plastic wrap installed on our house (which Savoy doesn't require) before the installation of the new siding; I believed that the styrofoam insulation would be sufficient, and Cramer didn't know.

I needed them to replace and cut same siding because I was having an electrician install a new light. We had to wait on them as the person was overwhelmed with assignments. The cut he made was pretty rugged and even the electrician noticed how bad a job it was. (rushed)
The last thing was an installation of a gutter helmet. They came out, did a size up and good detailed review of the work. They came on time. They cleaned all my gutters and downspouts. However after they left I noticed that there was several winged seedlings on the side of my gutter and my car was covered in them also. They do good basic work but do not clean up after themselves well.
Price would have been worth it if more care had been taken in construction. Roof always leaked, worse after 2nd year than first, company came out several times, sometimes after repeated requests, but leaking was never resolved by them. Every time it rained or snow melted, had to remove rugs and put down 5-7 containers to catch water. Had a new roof put on the whole house last summer, and paid them to put new roof on sunroom. Finally have no leaks. Ranted about this enough while it did, now just want to try to enjoy what we do have, but still knowing it should have been better.
Summer 2015 Update: Even with rubber roof installed in 2011, we still have occasional leaks when it rains hard enough or we have large enough snow melt that leaves standing water on sunroof roof which reminds us that this is a headache that will never completely go away and requires constant monitoring. Will never be comfortable enough to leave any furniture or floor coverings in sunroom that can't withstand a soaking. Not at all what we envisioned when we contracted for sunroom to be built.
