It started off bad it was cold mid January 2020 they sent 2 men to tear off the siding and replace it. It took a month(they finished in February) I started taking pictures at first to record our experience good thing, I then was taking pictures to protect myself. They never put there things away at the end of the day (extension cords, ladders saw horses ect..) every day I had to take pictures.(They stepped on a small bush and broke it, they put there ladder on my new air conditioner and put large scratches in it, they damaged my garage, and spilled a red drink on my new $3,200 concrete steps and stained them) they have paid for the damage but still have not tried to clean my steps, And when they were done and asked me to sign off and pay the rest of what I owed I ask them to please clean there oily hand prints off the siding they agreed I signed off and they left with out cleaning. The siding looked really good once they came back to clean it. three months went by and two sides of our house wrapped and here it is November 2020 and they haven't fixed my siding yet. I have no issues with the windows.

This company was hired to replace many windows in our house and install gutter guard. Our house was built before 1978, Cramer gave us literature saying they were going to follow lead paint protocols when installing/replacing the windows. None of these practices were followed. They did not seal the rooms off and they left lead paint debri all over the inside and outside of the house. They did not clean up after the job and follow proper protocols. Subsequently, our son tested positive for lead. When we reached out to the company about improving their practices in future jobs in our home, they offered a small discount but did not even know the proper procedures for a lead job. It was horrifying to hear their excuses. Higher up positions in the company were extremely hard to reach and were not returning calls. If you care about your family, do not use this company because they only care about money and not the health and safety of the people who's homes they work on.

For one thing they only sent out two people to put the roof on my house it took them a week to put it on and in the process they almost kill my air conditioner I wasn't very happy, Cramers did pay for the repair of the air conditioner but I had to tell him about it of course and stay on him about it.

I have had them fix problems with the windows a number of times over the past twenty years. They were all issues related to natural wear and tear. One of those times there was a mix-up in communication. A supervisor came out and did the job himself.

I was very impressed by the professionalism of Cramers. They kept me informed through the roof repair and were very good about cleaning the area daily at the end of their day. The quality of workmanship and materials were top shelf! I would definitely use Cramers again if the need arises!

From beginning to end, the process was simple, honest and stress free for us.  The Sales process with Brad was upfront and honest, which we found to be rare with other competing roof companies.  The straightforward approach definitely won us over.  They were priced below or the same as other vendors.  The roofing crew was quick, thorough and completely the job efficiently and with quality workmanship.  Throughout the process, the office staff did a great job of keeping us informed.  We are extremely pleased with the roof, service and staff and highly recommend Cramer Siding and Windows to anyone looking at their services.

His estimate was so high that I just told him to leave after he measured one window. I told him I wouldn't hire them anyway after such a display of discourtesy.

They started work when they told me they would. The dumpster they brought for the old siding had large holes at the bottom of the sides, and was never covered by a tarp; material blew out of the holes and out of the dumpster around our neighborhood. The installers never once picked up.
They removed the old siding, nailed on the new, and showed me a problem with our gates, which had been mounted on our house. Since we bought siding with styrofoam insulation, the new siding projected about three inches further from the walls, and the gates' rods no longer rested in the concrete meant to hold them where they met in the center. The installers had no idea how to handle this. I like to hire workmen who have experience and training enough to suggest solutions when they encounter unforeseen problems on the job, but this pair had no ideas. They finally hung the gates back on the house, too high, with one crunching into the downspout if we tried to open it. They were gone.
My family and I picked up our yard and our neighbors', where materials had blown. We called them to re-attach pieces of siding that blew loose in our midwestern winds. To be fair, they came to do that promptly. Several more pieces have been loose over the last sixteen months. The trim surrounding the spigots spends more time on the ground than it does on the house. I finally contacted another company who installed posts beside the house, mounted our gates on them, and re-attached loose pieces of siding. I'm pleased with the other company''s work.
I wish Angie's List had had more reviews of siding companies when I was searching. I wish I had done a little more research. I probably should have had plastic wrap installed on our house (which Savoy doesn't require) before the installation of the new siding; I believed that the styrofoam insulation would be sufficient, and Cramer didn't know.
If you are about to replace the siding on your house, visit the website of the Vinyl Siding Institute. Click on resources. Find installers they have certified.

Both were done in one day and they were there when they said they would be there. We just had the windows installed in October. The crew was pleasant and were done in less than a day. The cleaned up everything on the outside and the inside.

The sales lady advised me not to route heat or AC to the room (despite the fact that channeling additional ductwork to the room would be relatively inexpensive). When the room was completed, I understood immediately why she advised against ducting heat and AC into the room. You could actually hear the wind whistling through spaces between the 5 windows on the outside of the room. When the Cramer's president came out to my house to observe what I was referring to, he explained, "this is our standard window." It cost me an additional $5k to have a reputable, experienced remodeler, install a good quality set of windows. Even still, the room remains cold in the winter, despite the fact that heat is ducted into the room. The people who did the construction of the room, it turned out, were scab laborers that Cramer had hired from out of state. The quality of construction was so slipshod that one of the workers accidentally punched a hole in the new dry wall. He then put duct tape over the hole and painted the duct tape to match the rest of the wall. Cramer a year or so prior had sided my house. At the time of the construction of this sunroom, pieces of the siding were falling off. Despite the fact that the siding work was still under warranty, Cramer refused to honor the warranty. These are examples of workmanship at their very worst. CAVEAT EMPTOR!!!!

Installers did a good job with the exception of the bathroom window which was suppose to be frosted. They reordered and should be installed as soon as my schedule permits.

A few years ago they put siding on my house. They were suppose to disconnect the power to my overhead (recessed) porch light and then cover it with siding. I found out through new work that it never was disconnected. They just covered over it. This was a potential fire hazard.
I needed them to replace and cut same siding because I was having an electrician install a new light. We had to wait on them as the person was overwhelmed with assignments. The cut he made was pretty rugged and even the electrician noticed how bad a job it was. (rushed)
The last thing was an installation of a gutter helmet. They came out, did a size up and good detailed review of the work. They came on time. They cleaned all my gutters and downspouts. However after they left I noticed that there was several winged seedlings on the side of my gutter and my car was covered in them also. They do good basic work but do not clean up after themselves well.

I liked them because I got some other quotes in the past for insulation and they gave me a very reasonable rate. They also had this cover on top of the insulation which was a better alternative than the other companies. Their price was average.

Jeff Seidell, the sales person I dealt with was very professional and explained the job very clearly. I signed the contract in mid August 2012 and Jeff estimated that they would be starting in a couple of weeks. Around the first of September, I hadn't heard anything so, I called. There was a little bit of a scheduling snafu and, some phone tag but, the job did get started around the first week of Sept (about a week after the original estimated start time). Bo, Don and Ron were the roofing crew and they were very polite and explained what they were going to do and the expected schedule. I explained that this was an apartment building and that there are people going in and out all the time so they would need to be extra cautious with anything that could fall off of the roof and injure someone. I never had any complaints or concerns voiced by the tenants. They took care to make sure that everything, they were working on, was buttoned up each night and, even though we had that 3-1/2and quot; rain from hurricane Isaac, I never had any leaks during the installation. The entire job took about a week. I arranged to meet the crew a couple of days after the completion of the job and, we did a walk around. The only problem I found was that they had only installed four box vents. The original estimate was for four vents but, it was changed to six on the contract and that never got communicated to the crew. They returned a few days later and corrected the problem. They even had some extra room in the dumpster so they carried some large concrete downspout diverters around the house and tossed them in the dumpster, for me. Those things had to have weighed 70 or 80 pounds a piece. Overall, I was very pleased with the job and the care they took with cleaning up and being careful with the safety of the tenants.

We had them replace/add windows and doors to our 3 season room. We got the estimate quickly but then it was a couple of months before construction started (tho within the timeline in the small print). Once they started, they told us that our existing windows were not framed in and that re-framing was not included in the estimate. We told them that the person who did the estimate should have noticed that at the time, and that we were told that the estimate would include getting the windows framed in (actually did say that on our copy--'reframe'). They were not happy with this but continued with the project. The windows themselves looked very nice, but they used substandard wood to do the framing in--wood with lots of gouges, tears, missing chips, etc. The entire thing was left extremely unfinished and took us a several weeks of work with wood putty, newer wood, etc. to get into condition to paint. They also pulled off some of the interior siding and threw it away leaving a gaping hole ~18" X 30" with insulation exposed under one window--the siding we could find to fill the hole does not match the rest of the room. Two of the windows were not squared properly and leak when it rains hard. Construction was supposed to take 2 days--dragged on all week. At night they left boards with nails poking out laying around the yard (a hazard for us and our dogs)--we were finding scraps of wood and nails in the yard for weeks afterwards. When they called afterward to check on the construction, we told them we were not happy with these things. A person came out and looked at it and said it looked fine to him. When we showed him all of the gouges, torn up wood, etc., he said that those were easily covered up 'with a little paint' (it took over 4 large containers of wood filler to fill in the gouges and make it smooth enough to paint). We were called back a few weeks later and asked if we were still unhappy--we said yes, and they said they'd have someone call. That was in 2008, and we're still waiting to hear back from them. I would never work with this company again.

My elderly Mother was approached by a salesperson, that she did not call, and was talked into a sunroom . Fine, she needed one bad. It was down hill from there. The price was really really high, but they said it was the best of everything . After stringing out the project and still not finished, she has a sunroom that has a leaking roof, windows that do not seal tight and that lock extremely hard, and a concrete floor that was not finished and now is severly cracked and crumbling into gravel! Company representatives have offered Mickey Mouse solutions to cover up the problems, but she still has nothing to be proud of for being brand new. In fact, she has added liability to the house because of the shoddy workmanship. I wish that I had subscribed to Angies List before this to find out that the company was listed and had a "D" rating in sunroom installations.
