We chose this company based largely on a recommendation from friends, and also based on pricing. We got what we paid for, as the saying goes. The positives were that they were friendly, the owner's wife made a great suggestion re paint color in the kitchen, and they did a good job on the ceilings (not so easy to get a uniform finish on a 30' x 30' ceiling). The main negative was that they didn't remove the kitchen cabinet doors before steaming the wallpaper on the soffits, and the heat and steam melted and shrank the Thermofoil finish on some of the cabinet doors. I had said something to the owner's wife about taking the doors off, and she said it wasn't necessary. When I told the owner about this the next day at the end of the job, his response was "well, we've never had that happen before," and then he just shrugged and handed me the bill. About a half-hour later, his wife drove up and said she was "in the neighborhood and came by to see if the job was all done," and claimed that the corners of the doors were bubbling before she started steaming the wallpaper on the soffits. This is absolutely not true. They didn't bother to tape most things off so that painted lines are straight (darker paint in kitchen where soffits and ceiling meet are still obviously wavy, even after we asked them to fix it). We are having to re-repair and repaint some of the nail pops because the paint has cracked on them already (2 days later). They didn't take enough time to sand the kitchen walls and soffits to get them really smooth before painting them, so we will have to re-do those areas. They didn't put down plastic to protect the carpet when working on the nail pops, left drywall mud spots on the carpet, left paint spatters on kitchen counters and floor, cleaned brushes in the kitchen sink and left it a mess, and used our dining table as a staging area for their tools and paint (without a protective cover over it). At least one of their workers smoked while on the job. They were consistently at least a half-hour late, sometimes closer to an hour.
