Pete works alone and so the project will understandably take longer than if one hired a multi-person team. He is absolutely fair in pricing; and completely trustworthy. His invoices are comprehensive and he is more than willing to discuss any charges that you have questions about. We would hire Pete again for the end-result -- he produced a beautiful, strongly built deck. His construction methods are undeniably sound.

He does not particularly like doing the roof, but he will do it for me. He does not put on new roofs; he just good at repair. I have used him probably three times every year. He gets $47 an hour and it depends on what he does. It is hourly and it is worthy it. I would tell family and friends that if they can get him, hire him. He is often very busy. His prices are reasonable. His quality is without exception; it is excellent. When he tells you he is going to be there, he will be there. He is a winner. He has been working for me off and on for twenty years and he and his father before that, and his father alone before that. It has probably been thirty five years.

The first thing Mr. Beyler did was thoroughly evaluate each task before starting.  The thorough evaluation in the instance of the bathroom fan prevented tearing out and replacing part of the ceiling as his examination found a vent pipe that hadn't been fully vented outside the soffit.  Result:  Proper venting was assured and spending a lot of money and mess were averted.  All his repairs met current code.  When the job was done it was truly finished...no touch up paint required anywhere.  He gets our highest recommendation!

Pete stopped by in January to look at the work I wanted done, and give me an estimate.  He suggested that my husband and I visit Kitchen, Bath, and Cabinet in Champaign to select new countertops and a stainless steel sink.  We were pleased with the service at Kitchen, Bath, and Cabinet, and ordered from them.   While we waited for the materials, I occasionally called Pete with a question, and he was good about returning my calls and providing information  or explanations of the work planned.  As the materials began to arrive, he called to schedfule a day to begin work, and showed up that morning.  
We hadn't anticipated replacing the toekick, but it was needed, and added to the time Pete had allotted.  He re-arranged his schedule to give us an extra day, and finish the work.  He did a fine job of mudding the wall and fitting the new counters in place.  The new wood trim around the sliding glass doors to the deck, which is visible as soon as anyone enters the front door, is lovely.  The bill came in close to his estimate, and I am tremendously pleased with the new appearance and functionality of the kitchen.
