Very helpful, was able to do multiple projects on one day. Worked to get us the best price for parts. Thoroughly explained everything that was being done. Highly recommend!

Steve Ayers was able to make an appointment for the same day that I called, which was not true of anyone else that I called that day. He explained the problem to me and solved it for me. I felt that the cost was a little high for what turned out to be a very simple repair, but, in all fairness, his responsiveness made the cost worthwhile, especially going into a holiday weekend. Steve also explained that the air vent on the refrigerator was not properly placed to circulate air correctly, and I appreciated that information. Steve was very friendly and professional and helpful.

He not only made the repair, but set us up in case of future problems.   I made several calls to appliance repair services and was told they no longer work on microwaves.  Throwing out a whole stove for lack of a simple fuse is so wasteful.  I appreciate that there's still someone willing to do this.

Our AC unit was running but wasn't putting out enough cold air to cool the house.  Thermostat was set at 69 and overnight it slowly got up to 80 degrees in our house.  I left a voicemail to Steve late on a Sunday evening and he got back to us the very next day and came out for same day service.  He identified the problem right away and took care of it--and at a cheaper price than we anticipated!

Placed a service request through our home warranty on October 7th, got an email same day telling us what vendor we would be working with (we do not get to choose through the warranty) and that they would be in contact in 1-2 days.  A week goes by and we hear nothing, so we contact the vendor, set up the appointment.  After hem-hawing around, he decides we need new parts, says he will order.  2 weeks later, no word back, contact the vendor and he says he lost our stove's model number and could we give it to him again.  Weeks go by with no word.  Finally call the vendor on Dec 12th inquiring to the status of our parts/service request.  He seemed like he just forgot about us, and said oh yes I have had those parts for about a week now, when can I come install?  Next evening, he arrives 45 minutes late to install the parts.  Takes him 2+ hours to finally get it done.  Next day we come home to a kitchen full of gas smell.  Call the vendor and he says he can come but has another call to go to first, tell us to call the power company.  Currently waiting on the power company to arrive to find out if we are going to blow up or not.
Response from Ayers Repairs Co
"Dear Customer, I am truly sorry for your inconvenience and delay in having your stove repaired. I was under the impression that because you could light and use the surface burners with a lighter, that the repair was not pressing. The back order on your parts did take an extraordinarily long time and when they arrived i had already scheduled that week. I agree that I could have been better about keeping you informed , although I do recall responding to some text messages you sent. I was greatly concerned about the gas leak and thats why I recommended Ameren be called. They would recommend that also. I worked after hours with them in the crawlspace , to find the leak which turned out to be under the floor near the range. Again, I'm very sorry that the parts took so long and that you were disappointed with the service I worked after hours on both occasions to try to make up for my delay. Again, sorry for you frustration and disappointment. Sincerely, Steve Ayers"

He was very prompt, explained what he was doing, he told me what other services they provide, and he was very friendly. I had a home warranty on the oven, so I only paid the service charges. I definitely know we actually are going to use them again.

He has fixed more things in my house than anyone else.  He can troubleshoot anything which is amazing; like washer, dryer, etc.  He is a really good person and I will use him again in the future.

They were very thorough with the work. They took their time.  We are redoing our basement, and they were kind enough to give us some advice and make sure that things had been hooked up correctly at no additional charge.  They are friendly They were also able to come out that same day.

Steve appears very professional and curteous, but all that changes when billing time arrives. First, he charged me $70 just to show up. He also charges $30 per half hour. In my case I needed a refrigerator repaired. He showed up and claimed it needed a relay and that it would have to be ordered. Two days later he returned with the relay and put it in. It did not fix the problem so Steve claimed the company shipped him a "defective" relay. He ordered another and I had to wait about 4 days over the holiday weeked, hoping and praying my refrigerator could limp along and not break down totally. My refrigerator managed to keep my food cold over those four days. When Steve finally returned he put in the "new" relay, and you guessed it, it didn't work either. Steve likes to chat and works kind of slow. He now tells me about some sort of device he can jury-rig that "should" fix my problem. By this time I can see that this repair bill is going to be be huge. Steve never told me that he charged by the half hour, and putting in and taking out "defective" parts sent to him by the manufacturer counts as "labor". I finally told Steve that it seemed obvious to me that my fridge had other problems beside the "relay" and that I just wanted to buy a new refrigerator. Even though he did not fix the problem and took up about 7 days of my time waiting for him, he still had the gall to charge me for his labor and justified it by saying that he had to come out to my house twice, because the manufacturer sent him "defective" relays. The relays weren't defective, as we tried two and neither one fixed the problem. The only thing defective was Steve Ayers' repair and diagnostic skills. Don't believe the "nice guy" facade, Steve Ayers will bleed you for as much money as he can and is a real wolf in sheep's clothing. My neighbor down the street had a similar experience (I found out too late).
