we hired this company last summer to install the hoop and waiting to see how everything goes before we leave a comment. yes, it does hold up great. everything from the start to finish is professional and efficient. the gentleman came to install is super polite and professional. everything is measured precisely and the hoop stands beautifully. I highly recommend this company!

I had Universal Service Center install my hoop a few years ago now. I've always wanted to review their service because it was great, but I just procrastinated. Every time I look outside in the driveway, I see this awesome hoop and I think how easy it was to have them, Jose, I believe, install it so quickly, efficiently and without any drama whatsoever. I love it. I would definitely hire them again.

Everything about the experience was great. Barry was very responsive and helpful in coordinating everything. Jose was a true professional who worked hard, communicated incredibly well, and did a fantastic job. Truly exceptional. It took a little longer to get scheduled than I had hoped, but I can't blame them for the rain and how busy they are. I would refer them to anyone.

Universal is an excellent company to work with. They installed my Mega Slam 60 (great hoop) to perfection. Removed the old hoop and the installation looks great. Mike was the installer and was a true pleasure to work with. Got a quote from another highly rated competitor but they were over $200 more. Highly recommend working with these guys.

Installed a megaslam hoop...scheduling was a constant battle and guy came out to discuss job. I discussed in detail the exact location...he decided not to install it that day cause rain so he came next week. He forgot what we discussed and put it in wrong location...we argued and he installed. Even though he was angry he still did a good job...my court is messed up in terms of distance to free throw and 3 pt. For being the owner of the company I felt Barry was non-responsive and wasnt concerned about my satisfaction. He left the installer to deal with the issue.

As of today, as expected.

Jose Villarreal was fantastic. He did a great job, stayed in touch by phone to apprise me of when he'd be there each time (it was a 2-phase job since the concrete base had to be poured first), and is just generally a nice and hard-working guy. It was especially wonderful to get the job done so well and soon after I called his company and spoke to Barry. Previously, I had purchased installation elsewhere (through Amazon), but those other contractors had jerked us around for months and kept scheduling, cancelling and rescheduling until they finally cancelled entirely and issued a refund. Meanwhile, 5 months passed while the product sat in a box taking up an enormous amount of space in our garage and our kids kept asking when it would be installed. I wish I had called Universal Service Center months ago! Jose called me soon after my initial conversation with Barry, and the company even took care of contacting JULIE before coming out.

Very well - all services completed promptly and professionally.

Universal Service Center was the perfect contractor. They responded quickly to messages through Angie's List. They sent clear directions. They gave a competitive quote and stood by their price - no surprises. Their technician communicated well and arrived on-time and did an excellent install.

It went very well. Barry answered all my questions and set up the installation. Michael did the installation and he did a great job. The hoop is as sturdy as it can be. The work was excellent!

This is the 3rd company that I've had to hire just to move our treadmill up one floor.   The first guys really botched up the taking it apart and then couldn't move it.  I had to hire a moving company (on the advice of the first guys!), but they wouldn't put it together once it was moved.   Finally found Universal (who could have done the whole thing) and they were awesome.   Very courteous on the phone, quoted a fair price and stuck to it, appointment within a couple of days, were on time arriving at appointment, very professional, and COMPLETED the work!   I will call them again for anything I need with this treadmill -- great experience.  

Barry did an excellent job. He arrived on time and installed the mail box and the basketball hoop pole. He came back  3 days later to finish installing the basketball hoop. He also cleaned up after his work. He hauled the dirt and put it in my garden. My overall experience was excellent. He also does other services as listed on his website and I will be contacting him for additional work. 
My only regret is that we never met in person! He did all this outstanding work when I wasn't home. Having worked with several contractors over the years, there is always some issue. Hands down he is the best contractor I have worked with. Thank You Barry. Hope to meet you next time.  
 

Everything went well. It took a couple of weeks to get scheduled for installation but they were responsive by email and phone during this time. The quality of the work is very good and the price was reasonable ($300). I would highly recommend them if you are looking for basketball hoop installation.

This company ultimately made three trips to our house, and all went well. The first trip was to remove the old system and pour the concrete for the new system. The old one was a terrible system made by Lifetime. The new one is a really sturdy system made by American Eagle in the US. Michael and his assistant did a great job on the first trip. The new hole was substantially deeper and wider, providing a much more solid foundation for the new hoop.
The second trip was to install the new system, an American Eagle AE72. It took the two of them approximately two hours to assemble and install the entire system. They had issues with some of the hardware that shipped with the system, so they installed some temporary bolts. American Eagle was quick to diagnose the problem and sent us replacement hardware.
On the third trip, Michael replaced the temporary bolts, and installed an "airball grabber" net system. 
The new system is solid as a rock and holds up to daily use. We're very happy to have used a professional installer, it makes a big difference.

You have to keep in mind that the weather plays an important role in when they can get to you!  It took a little longer than I would have liked for them to make it out to me but they had no control over the weather.
Barry, the owner, returned my emails within 24 hours and was always very honest and professional as to where I was in line.
When our number was finally up, Eric (Erik?) came out on Wednesday afternoon to dig the hole and pour the concrete.  Saturday morning Eric and Steve returned and had the hoop ready in one hour.  Very professional and no problems at all.
