"Thank you for working with Paxem on your move. I'm sorry you didn't find our complete services an "A" rating. We will work on our organization of our Relocation Specialist. We appreciate your business and wish you much happiness."
"Thank you for reviewing Paxem's services. If there are any areas you think we could improve upon please let us know. We strive to make our clients happy and don't like it when we fall short. We appreciate your business and time."
"Thank you for trusting Paxem again to help you. We are always here if you need any more help!"
I appreciate Paxem all the more because they came to my rescue. I live 300 miles away and work full-time, so I had very limited ability to get to Chicago. Because of break-ins in my mom's neighborhood, I was desperate to get the house cleared out ASAP. I had already contacted four other firms before finding out about Paxem. After the firm I had chosen told me they were booked, and the other three were non-starters for various reasons, in desperation I asked my realtor (the superb Nancy Perlman) if she knew anybody. One of her colleagues suggested Paxem. The Paxem team totally understood my time constraints and flew into action.
The decluttering team was fantastic. Two hard working women went through the house from attics to basement in 6 hours. They were pleasant and fun and kept us moving along. I really can't imagine how we could have done it without them. We bagged all of the stuff to be disposed and I called a trash hauler to pick up. (that was separate from their service.)
The Estate Sale team came back awhile later. They set up 50+ years worth of items and advertised with their many contacts. I was not there (I live 2500 miles away) but the neighbors reported an excellent turn out and said that the sale was very well supervised and organized. We were lucky that enough items were sold that my Mom was able to put a few dollars in the bank. Paxem's contacts with specialty buyers made the sale successful, I'm sure.
I can't say enough good things about Paxem. It can be very emotional to prepare your family home for sale and the work itself is physically taxing. They were so supportive and helpful and stuck with us during a stressful time for our family. The house sold very quickly, which will be a big help to our mother who is now in assisted care (after a fall that happened in the middle of all of this!) What a relief to have it done.
I had been calling several movers to do a very small 10 mile move in mid September.
All movers contacted had one reason or another why they could- would not want the job. Jennifer at Paxem, Inc. Residential & Senior Moves was so patient and helpful. even though her company did not handle moves like mine. Jennifer gave me 3 referrals she knew who would probably be able to help. I called the first name, Alpha Delivery and spoke with Miguel who was wonderful. Of course I booked the move with in minutes for the date and time I wanted; and $20 less per hour than the company who did return my call.
Jennifer, thank you so very much for your kindness, time and help. : )
"Thank you for your kind words, [Member name]! If there's ever anything else we can do for you please let us know. We are always happy to help!"
They brought in more money than we dreamed possible. Then cleaned out and got the home ready for closing. I just can't say enough about the tremendous job they did. Very satisfied!!
"Thank you for your kind, supportive words. Paxem's team always works hard to ensure our families are happy. I'm glad we could help!"
"Paxem always strives to be responsive, courteous and supportive of all the families we help. We packed a few times for (removed member name) and she was very pleased with our services. Where we failed was on follow up. (removed name) reached out to Paxem in November 2014 without a move date. We went in and packed breakables for (removed name) and she was pleased. On December 31st our Relocation Specialist reached out to find out more information. There were no specifics on the move and so she said she would call the following week. That week went by and on the 12th day we got this review and were quite unhappy with the rating. We are a company that cares about all aspects of what we do. We did call today and (removed name) hired another company to assist her with her move. She did ask for more information on an estate sale but she did not have enough to hold a sale so we declined. At this point we are hoping that (removed name) has a nice move with the other company she hired. We are sorry that we fell short on our follow up and measures have been put in place to help alleviate this issue."
This was the second time we used Paxem. We originally used them to move my widowed Mother-in-law from her home to a retirement community apartment. Paxem came to help determine what to take and what to leave, packed up the contents of the house, moved my Mother-in-law into her new apartment, and then held an estate sale with the remaining items at the home. Did I mention that the move was accomplished in just one day, including a complete set-up of the new apartment? There were no boxes to unpack, cartons to dispose of, or items to put away. It was all done by Paxem! They are amazing. The second time we hired them to move my Mother-in-law from her independent, to her assisted living apartment. This required some downsizing, which they helped us with, and took some of the property to be donated. I would highly recommend this team of professionals!
