Fantastic! Eric and Josh were extremely professional, prompt, courteous, clean, impeccable and amazing! They had tarps for all flooring and put plastic on and over everything else. Not a drop of paint was anywhere it shouldn't be. It looks like the painting was done before cabinets were installed, I can't believe the precision. Even after they sanded the patching, there was no clean up on my part due to their prep work. They went above and beyond helping me move a cabinet back in place and even rigging it to make it level. Moved all my plants back inside and kitchen table with glass top was put back where it belongs. Eric was all packed up, realizing the switch plate covers had been forgotten to be painted, and insisted he'd paint them. I had to reassure him I didn't expect that to be done. He wanted to do it but, I wouldn't let him. They were great all around and I couldn't be happier!

He provided me with updates as it came closer to time and arrived with a crew to complete the job in one day. Pleased with the service and workmanship performed.  Use protective coverings in areas to prevent paint forming on surfaces.  Also did some repair work for me on the side garage door frame.  Would recommend them and would hire again.  BP

*Update to review. HPO has been in contact with me regarding the issues noted in this review and has made things right. 

When they knew the work was going to start, they come out and power-wash the entire work area, this was done a few days ahead of the work. 
Then a crew came out to start the work a team of about 3-4 people to start then it went down to a 2 person crew to finish the job. They sanded, scraped, primed the work area and replaced the posts that were rotted. The work was done Thurs/Friday and needed to be carried over until the following Monday. The job took 3 full days to complete.
The paint job and prep was done pretty well. I had one problem with they paint job itself. One area appeared to not be fully coated, meaning I could see brush marks and the old paint or surface under the new paint in spots. This is on the front of our home. When I brought this to their attention (The morning after the job was complete. The job was finished when it was dark and I could not see the work) I was told the quote was for one coat of paint and to come back to add another coat to that area it would be another $75. I was also told that they added two coats in other areas even though the quote was for one. While I appreciate that they did that, isn't it their job to get the quote right in the first place? I have no clue if  the home needed one coat or two, that's why I hire a professional and got a quote. So somehow they made me feel like they did me a favor by adding more paint and that they went above and beyond. Instead it made me feel like they didn't quote correctly and a very visible area of my home was not done fully. If areas needed more than one coat to get the job done correctly, tell me. Ring the doorbell, they knew I was home and could have informed me. 
Here's where I was really not thrilled with the professionalism:
- They left a sweatshirt draped over my neighbors fence, over the weekend
- Trash on the side of my home (cups of coffee and pop) This really upset me, this is my home. 
- Did not put items back where they were, planters, decor on my steps etc. (left items in my front yard for me to put back)
- Placed home address back on post CROOKED. They explained that one screw would not be able to be put back on our 7 because it was stripped. I said to put the numbers back up anyway and we will replace the one screw. When I noticed all of our numbers were not up properly, they said I was informed about one screw which would account for one number being crooked. Then told me another screw could not be replaced and they could come back and fix this if I wanted them to. Even the number that has both screws is not up straight. A screw is sticking out of that number and it simply is poor quality. Again this is on the front of our home. 
I get that we signed up to have the work done during a busy season, and the daylight savings didn't help with time. I don't think I am in the wrong to expect things to done right and well. Or for my personal items to be placed back to where they were, how they were, at least close to how they were. When I ask a professional to provide a quote it's because I can't do the work myself and I want it to be done well and right. It's their job to figure out how that needs to be done.
In the end I did not agree to have them come back out to add another coat of paint because it will cost me more money on top of the $2100 I already spent. 
When I brought a few of these issues to their attention, their explanations for them only left me to fee like I was in the wrong and it was somehow my fault. That's not a good feeling as a customer. 
Reading through all of the other great reviews, I feel bad even writing a bad one. Maybe the busy season might have affected the quality for this particular job, I don't know.
A little advice to HPO, do a walk around the home to make sure items are put back, inform the customer if additional work has to be done above and beyond the quote. For the reasons above, I can't recommend them and would not ask them for another quote.

This was a last minute ask as we noticed some old drywall water damage the day before a planned house full of guests.  Eric provided his crack dry wall expert to come in and patch a very difficult inside corner joint.  When he was finished which included primer and painting, you couldn't tell there was ever an issue.

Eric and team did an outstanding job.

Mr. Hahn was timely, efficient, communicative, cleaned up afterwards with no residual mess.  When asked to do additional repairs he was very willing to do so without hesitation.  I would definitely recommend him to other people.  He did a great job.....I was very happy with his work!   Bonnie Martin

Eric was in regular contact with us before and throughout the project.  He and his staff were very neat and cleaned up each day.  They did a beautiful job and took time to answer all our questions.  They were very careful of the landscaping and did not spatter or spill stain on anything.  The workmanship is topnotch.  I definitely would use HPO Painting again.

Eric, the owner was courteous and apparently worked hard to get a crew in within the month time limit I asked during the busy season but then some things went from wrong to very wrong. An issue I had was that the length of time the work would take was drastically underestimated. I am not sure how much Eric had used the two-person team that he sent to do the interior work. One of the two seemed very skilled and professional about his work. They took a full 11 days to paint 75% of the above ground interior of our house. Granted, there were some challenging aspects to the work needed (20 foot ceilings, some non-structural cracks to patch, etc.) but it shouldn't have taken so long - everyone I know agreed. Overall the finished work was excellent in terms of quality (except one minor issue that the owner willingly and quickly resolved). In short, quality work is what you can expect at a fair price but during the busy season, it may take longer than you thought.

Eric was very friendly, and promptly stopped by to give us a quote within a day or two of my calling him.  Of the 3 quotes I had gotten for our work, Eric's quote  came in 2nd of the 3, and was very reasonably priced.  
Eric's painter Mike did a great job, and was very detail oriented and conscientious.  Overall the resulting stain job turned out very well.  I would not hesitate to hire Eric and his team again.

Eric is extremely nice. He squeezed us into his schedule because we were moving into a new house and wanted it done before we moved. The crew would come when they could. They didn't clean up great inbetween days. His prices were very reasonable, but there were quite a few touch ups that needed to be done

The workmanship was excellent.  Would recommend HPO to anyone in need of a reliable painter.

The price was really reasonable. I wouldn't complain about his price at all. It was a big job. They worked until they were finished. I have nothing bad to say about them. They arranged to have a subcontractor in to do some carpentry work. I was afraid it was going to get too cold for them to paint, but he assured me it would be fine. He has a great temperament. My wife was having trouble finding the exact shade she wanted.

We've had Eric and his crew paint for us before, and they did such a good job that we had them come back to paint our huge 12" ceiling great room.  His crew came in, set up, and got started on a Monday morning.  The guys had to fix three rather large cracks in the ceiling, and did a fine job.  Then the ceiling got two coats of paint, as did the walls.  There was a bit of a problem with drywall dust going into the kitchen when they turned on the ceiling fans to help the drywall and paint dry.  Eric told the guys what they needed to do next time to prevent the spread of dust, and they helped clean up the mess.  They finished packing up and cleaning up by 10:30 am on Tuesday.  It looks fantastic!

We recently moved to the area and found a house that needed a lot of painting. I called Eric for an estimate, and he was at our house painting less than a week later.  Our master bedroom and bath were a dark gold and navy blue with 10 ft. ceilings, and we went to a much lighter set of blues.  My husband didn't like the brushed bronze fixtures either, and planned to change them. The bath ceiling had 7 different areas, plus a very steep and narrow skylight access area. Everything needed 2 coats of paint, and after the master suite was all done, he remarked how nice the bronze fixtures and towel bars looked after all.  Money saved there!
The kitchen/dining area has 10 ft. ceilings, with a fireplace and heavy valances that my husband and I could not take down ourselves.  The ceiling also had a crack that crossed the entire room, and Eric repaired and re-repaired it until he was satisfied with it.  Two coats of paint later, everything looks marvelous!
The bill was very fair, with labor being around $1500 and paint extra. HPO Painting uses Benjamin Moore paint, and charges his cost for whatever paint you choose. Eric, Daniel, and Josh were as pleasant, professional, and careful as anyone could possibly wish.  I plan to use them again for our great room.

Provided excellent work! Very professional! Came on time, finished on time. The crew were always polite and responsive. Did good quality work, that they triple check when finished and had my wife and myself do a walk around to make sure that we were happy with the work provided.

Eric did an excellent job fixing and painting a couple of small problems we had  the ceiling.

Terrific.  Eric responded to all my phone calls and texts. He finished in a very timely manner which he knew was important to me.
His team was very pleasant and hard working.  The costs were what I expected-no surprises.  My house looks beautiful.

Eric responded to my request for a proposal quickly and answered all my questions fully.  He supplied the liability insurance information I requested for all who worked on the decks.  He gave me a date range of a certain week and he started and completed that week.  He was truthful regarding how long it would be before the work could be done and he was able to complete on time, even though we have had quite a bit of rain.  All the workmen were courteous and professional.  Everything was kept clean and organized during and after the job.  I am very happy with the quality of the work, Eric the owner and his associates.  The price was very fair.  Eric gave me the receipts for the stain and payment was requested and made when the job was completed. 

I would definitely recommend HPO Painting and will request their work again.  What a pleasure to work with an honest, straight forward contractor.  Especially since I had a hard time finding him. I had a bad experience with the first company I hired and interviewed several others before finding HPO.
