New construction somewhere between mediocre and shoddy. Bumpy drywall, poor interior paint job, missing floor molding, missing shower tile grout, doors hung crooked, gouged toekick, ledge on countertop 1/8" at a supposedly flush joint.

The plumber and his helper contracted by EA Knight did a quick, professional job, replacing not just the pump, but the rubber connection. Proper PVC was installed, along with clean up. And, they gave me a payment plan.

Completed in one day Repairman explained problem after siding was removed and during each step of the repair explained what he was doing. Repairman cleaned the work area thoroughly

E. A. Knight got right to it and did both jobs. Nice quality. The person I talked with over the phone had a gifted personality. They were very good to work with. I was quite satisfied.

Wonderful, and the people were great.

We are very pleased with the work that was done.  The house is much safer for my parents now that the rails and bars have been installed.  They have something to steady themselves as they go up or down steps in the garage and back porch area.
We believe having these rails and bars in place will prevent someone from getting hurt from a fall.  
The quality of work and professionalism of the company is second to none.  We would recommend E. A. Knight Construction highly!!

Excellent workmanship.  Punctual and courteous.  Gary and his team worked hard (even in some really bad weather), and gave us some great results.  They didn't nickle and dime us like many contractors do, but instead gave us fair pricing for all work (in additional to a bunch of work we added on after the job was started).  Very highly recommended and we will definately be using them again.

Have used E.A Knight for 15 years. To replace windows, rotten wood, remodel kitchen slightly, repair damage after a derecho. Always quality work, efficient, and professional.

The very first thing they did was to call and quot;julieand quot;, the utility locating service. I don't think that the average Joe working out of the back of his pickup would have even bothered, but they did it first!
They removed the garage, made a huge mess, and cleaned it up.
They went after the stumps, one of which was right up against my neighbor's stockade fence. I warned them to be careful, but they destroyed a section of fence anyway. In the time it took me to go to the kitchen to get a soda and return they had installed a new fence section. If I were operating a construction company, these are the people I would want working for me!

They did a great job, the were ready for any problems and the were all prepared, I was very impressed with them.

We were very pleased.
The work both times was done efficiently and everything was cleaned up. We received a follow-up email to make sure that everything we had requested had been completed.
We felt that the price we paid was fair -- not the cheapest, but we did not feel overcharged.
Before we had the first round of work done, a representative from the company came out and did a walk-through with us. We had a long list of things for Now and Later. We received estimates for both very quickly.
Our Later list will be sometime this Fall and we will probably call them to come and do it.

The start date was a little delayed. Much of that was b/c I had concerns about the stain matching the woodwork already in our home. Greg, from South Side Lumber in Herron, greatly assisted me in this endeavor.

A very professional worker installed a new thresh hold for our back door...had to actually build one since our old house was not compatible with any ready made thresh holds...applied weather stripping around the front and back doors....repaired one of our three way lamps (which is working fine now). Would recommend him to anyone.

EA Knight were professionals from start to finish. I hired them to put a metal roof on my house and the subcontractors (roofers) were every bit as professional as the main contractors. EA Knight hires people who are friendly, down to earth, and committed to their jobs. Due to a factor not in his control, the job was slowed down. The roofer called me very upset due to not being able to meet the timeline I had been told. I wasn't upset, partly due to the job didn't need to be rushed, and partly due to how upset HE was at an upstream supplier. I also received a call from the offices of EA Knight the same day. Wonderful communication all around. The guys cleaned up all the mess and left the yard in great shape. I will definitely use EA and their subcontractors for other major projects I need done to my home.

I can't say enough about them. Arrived and left on time, extremely courteous, impeccable craftsmenship. I will come to them first on the next project. They are a little more expensive than other contractors but it was really worth it.

The price was less than my husband thought it would be. When they left, you could not even tell they were there. They clean up all the mess, and are timely. We have used EA Knight for other work in the past, and are never disappointed. Initially, you think they may cost more, at the hourly rate, but they know what they are doing, so in and out much faster than someone who does not, and all work is done professionally.

The owner was knowledgeable and thorough in his bid. The crew was very professional and did an excellent job. They might cost more, but they're worth it.

These guys were excellent. They showed up everyday on time and didn't even leave for lunch! (They ate on the site.) They were friendly and helpful and did a beautiful job. You might find someone who will do the work a bit cheaper, but I predict that you will ultimately pay the price with poor quality work--if they even show up. We've gone that route before, and trust me, it's better to just hire the best from the beginning. These guys were professional, knowledgeable, dependable and we are very pleased. Wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.

Al arrived on time and, after looking at the doors, told me that for two of the three doors it would be better to replace rather than repair them because the doors would be much more secure. I went to Lowe's and bought the doors, opting for the $75 delivery fee because I have a small door. However, Al went to get the doors himself, saving me the $75.00. He had the first damaged door out and the new one installed in record time. When he went to install the second new door, he said that because of the width of the opening, it should have been a special-order door but that he could work with the one I got to save me money. He did a beautiful job with the door and it fits better than the old special-order door ever did. Al was courteous, meticulous, and highly professional. He seemed to truly care that I got the best work for my money. I'm delighted with all three doors and would gladly hire him again for any work of this type.
