I had cleaned my 10 year old carpeting many times myself to the point where the carpets were gummy because the chemicals were never totally extracted. In addition to this my dog hangs out in the family room and it smells like dog.
D and D came to the house in a big white van. He was very pleasant. The equipment he had was massive and new. He began by spraying the carpet with deodorant cleaner.. He then brought in a very large machine with a rotating round brush. The carpets were scrubbed. After this he brought in a long hose and a nozzle. He proceeded to steam and extract the moisture. The suction was very powerful and the steam was great! I could smell the difference in the carpet even then! Once he was done extracting/steaming he brought in something like a rake and lifted all the pile. My ten year old carpet looked like it was brand new!
I will never clean my own carpets again. I will always call D and D Carpet Cleaning.
