The cost was way too much. They should have shown up for the service call the day. I took a day off work and they didn't show up. It was not a good day.

As a result of their prompt service in scheduling my move and coming down on a Sunday to activate service at the new house (which worked for my work schedule), I was very pleased with the customer service provided by Wow. I have also not had any problems with their on-going Internet service - the speed has been consistent and I've seldom noticed service interruptions.

After a really decent business relationship for 17 years, things went bad very quickly. We lost cable TV connectivity mid-December about 2014 and requested a service call. We were out of service for 3 days before a technical visit could be arranged. The service was restored about two hours before the technicians visit, Coincidentally (??), another WOW technician was down the street when cable was restored. The technician arrived, found nothing wrong with our service, exchanged an insignificant splitter and left. We requested a rebate for the three days via telephone. Cable went down on CHRISTMAS DAY and we arranged for a visit on 12/29.  This technician played a bunch of technical games with the system, couldn't figure out the problem and, finally, at my insistence, changed out the gateway device. updated the programming and service was restored. I asked for the technician to arrange a credit for the 5 days that cable was out. In January, I received a line item charge for 2 x $50 Tech Visits. These are technical visits to repair equipment THEY OWN and I RENT. I immediately called WOW and demanded they remove the 2 x $50 charges. They took off one charge but refused (in the person of the "supervisor" at the call center) to remove the other. I immediately went out and did a little research and replaced WOW with ATT at a better price, with a higher speed internet connection and more cable channels and they installed it in three days. When I returned my equipment  at WOW's office in Naperville, IL, I requested the status of the two separate service rebates and they refused to issue them. BOTTOM LINE: Good Customer for 17 years, WOW's refusal to maintain equipment critical to service, extra charges to fix THEIR equipment and refusal to rebate outages of service doomed this business relationship. In a business as competitive as cable and Internet service, I cannot understand WOW's refusal to honor my reasonable requests. If they had made a better decision several places in the process, I would have remained with them. I was able to replace WOW in about one hour of research at a discount.

I have had Wide Open West as my cable, phone and internet provider for many years.  I have very few problems with their service.
They are responsive on the phone.  They try to solve the problem over the phone first and have a great deal of patients trying to talk you through solving a problem.  Fact is the few times I have had to call them it was because of something wrong on my end. The couple of times they have had to send a tech out they have always been punctual, knowledgeable, and have never made a mess.  They always have solved the problem.  I have had Comcast in other homes and these guys are light years ahead in every area.

My husband was frustrated with erratic cable signal and the fact that a tv station guide is not available that is compatible for our area and WOW tells him to just look online.  He was told online is the only way to get listing of stations - which he told them is not accurate and does not have all stations currently available by name and number to be used with remote control.

Installation is done by an outside contractor. He was very professional. I received a call from WOW that he would be early, but that was not the case. I received another call 4 hours later from WOW, and he arrived then. I started my contract 2 years ago at $55 and it has escalated to $85 without changes by me to my service.

Called wowway one days about starting internet service. They immediately schedule a time the next day. They showed up. Installed service an stuck around while I tested the speed. Good price and provided the service I expected this was so great after having a horrifically bad experience with trying to get Comcast to do the same.

WOW!!!!! The name says it all. Within the first 10 days of having the service there was a tech here 7 times!
There was not ONCE where all three service worked simultaneously. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but when the last tech arrived at 9:05pm, when the appointment was scheduled between 2pm and 8pm (with a scheduled call when they were on their way....that never came) and he was either intoxicated, more tired than he has EVER been in his life, or something else was making him stumble I immediately called the Company and told them their equipment needed to be  picked up off my front porch within 24 hours if they wanted it back.
They did infact pick everything up the next day, but two weeks ago 5/2014 we received a unpaid bill for $3,254.19 for "unreturned equipment" I called they fixed their error! What else can you say but WOW????

Combination of price, reliability and customer service have been the best. We have had xfinity, u-verse, and Direct TV in the past. So far loving WOW.

The installation was great. The installer was on time, and performed his work efficiently. My only negative experience was the sales person I talked to when setting up the installation. There was a little confusion about whether or not I already had a cable modem, but luckily the installer brought one with so the installation was a breeze. They did have to bury a new cable, which they did the next week after determining what was already buried in the yard to prevent possible problems. WOW's speeds are just as good as they advertise, and they don't play pricing games like other companies.

We have been using this provider for about 10 years.  There is no contract.  When they changed to a new billing system a few months ago it was hard to get ahold of them but usually we are able to get through to them and the service reps are professional and nice.  We decided to add landline phone service after being nickeled and dimed by our old phone company.
