So we were without AC with 90 degree days approaching. I called Armbrust and they were out the same day to diagnose. The part was ordered that day and they were at our door with the repair part at 7:45 am the day after that. The repair was made in less than an hour and our AC was restored before the 90 degree days arrived. Our technician, Louis P. was very courteous and professional. He called prior to both visits to let us know that he was on his way. He was punctual and neat, leaving no mess whatsoever. I would definitely recommend Armbrust.

We agreed upon a solution to our challenge, he scheduled an appointment time that was convenient and came back and did the work as specified. It went very smoothly as all of our transactions with Armbrust have gone for more than 15 years. We know a half dozen of their technicians who take care of our furnace and air conditioning system, RPZ valve in our lawn irrigation system, backup generator, and the occasional plugged drain or leaky faucet. They are without exception well trained, diligent, neat, and prompt. They call ahead of scheduled time to make sure someone is home and arrive in the scheduled time window. They are all capable of explaining what they are doing, offering advice for improving performance of the system they are servicing, and clearly answering any questions. We especially appreciate the expertise of Jeff who took care of the furnace today, but all of their people are top notch.

I checked Angie's List and they had some good reviews. I had tried them for some smaller jobs first. They did a pretty good job of explaining everything like the issues and what the need to do to fix it and what the consequences would be if I didn't fix it. They explained everything really well. I only had that one big job and they knocked it out of the park.

I was starting to remodel our laundry room and found that one of the shut off valves to the laundry tub wouldn't close. It wouldn't budge so I couldn't shut it off. I had used Armbrust a couple of times late in 2016 and called them and so Dave came out to look. The shut off valves were over 30 years old and so I had them replaced rather than just try to get the one bad one closed. Dave replaced both but shortly after he left I noticed one of the valves developed a slow drip. I called and he came back and checked it and re-tightened it. The next morning I noticed the other valve had a very slow leak. It wasn't much at all but of course over time those drops add up. I called Armbrust again and Dave came over that day and re-attached the 2nd shut-off valve. There were no additional charges and he came back promptly both times.

Tom had to cut a rectangular hole in the wall to get to the existing piping and to replace the old shut off valves that the washing machine hoses connected to. He told me earlier that he would need to cut into the wall so that didn't surprise or bother me. He had to move around the new piping and the drain pipe since the new laundry box was configured differently from the old one. I think he did a good job and everything seems to be working fine now (5 months later). My only complaint is that the laundry box was noticeably crooked and so it didn't look that neat. He mentioned that the washing machine should hide it but it doesn't. I didn't complain at the time since it wouldn't make much sense to have to re-solder and replace all of that piping. Since the wall of the laundry box was wallpapered and I wouldn't be able to patch it, and match the wallpaper print, I decided to put wainscoting on that wall of the laundry room. I was able to get the laundry box to look fairly square by the way I cut the wainscoting around the box but it took some work and trial and error. In the end everything looks pretty good.

Our water heater was about 17 years old and was still operating fine. I knew one day soon though I would come down to the basement and find water on the floor so we decided to spring for a new one. Alan came in and without any fuss hauled out our old water heater and installed a new one. He was only at our house about an hour and a half. Hope this new one lasts a long time also, but I'm not counting on it.

We were very pleased. We called them and waited for a return call. I think everything went very well.  He was informative, he showed me some things on it, he took his time. It wasn't a case of get in and get your check and leave. All in all I think he did really well. He asked about the chimney and made sure there was nothing blocking the ventilation system. He covered things that I didn't even ask about. He was very helpful.

I have used him for the last twenty years. I have been very happy with them. They are extremely professional. Knowledgeable. They figure out problems and take care of them for me, before they become an problem or immediately. They have been great. It was an fair price. They are very dependable. Their customer service is outstanding with sending emails, and sending pictures of the service person. When they get here, its not their first rodeo. They have been doing it for a while. They figure out what the problem is quickly, and solve the problem quickly.

Quick work and options provided. Dave listened to the history of the house and the issues we were having with a basement toilet. He was confident that we should start with rodding out the main sewer line. It worked! House is over 110 yeas old so we are very, very pleased this was a quick fix.

Great - always prompt, very knowledgeable, courteous, professional, did the job right, didn't cut corners... Would definitely recommend them. We had several other plumbers and Heat/AC people come to the house before, and our experience with Armbrust was 10x better than all of the experiences we had. I think they were pretty much in line cost-wise with the others we have used, but their service and work is so far superior, that I would go with them regardless of a little difference in cost.
