Garage Door Service
Right before Christmas, our automatic garage door opener closed on a plastic garbage can. Because the can was flexible, the sensor did not stop the opener, and the door eventually went off the track, bending the track in some places. Our home warranty company sent Shawnee Electric to have a look at the problem, at an initial cost to us of $60.00. The serviceman said that the home warranty company would not pay for the repairs, but that SE could fix the door for $200-300. He said he would come back in a week. Three weeks later and two phone calls, he had still not returned. Finally, the repairman showed up, and spent several hours in the garage. In the end, the garage door was repaired, and the cost was $125.00.
