I was surprised when I read the two (negative) reviews on Gamble's in Carbondale. I'm assuming it is the same company with different workers in each location. Based on our experience, we will call Gambles again until we have reasons not to.

Flange they installed leaked. Tried to charge me twice when they repaired the leak. Called the business owner and he removed the charge. Now have stained linoleum that has bubbled up and come loose from the floor due to moisture damage.
Owner explained that a new part emerged since their first installation that would have prevented the leak. Common sense would indicate that lead and oakum flanges installed in the 1950's have been replaced for decades without incident. Truth is they screwed up the initial installation, caused property damage, wanted to charge me twice, and did not accept responsibility for the damaged linoleum despite the fact it was caused as a result of their shoddy work.

Plumber had to vacuum out a filter so pilot light could receive the air it needed to stay lit. Despite this being a twenty minute job, it cost us close to $183.00. $183.00 per hour is too much money for southern Illinois. Not sure if my physician gets paid that. But then again, physicians don't make house calls.
