Do you have a talented, experienced, responsive Technical Support group at your disposal? No? Neither do I, but I don't care anymore because I have Mark. Running Windows XP on my vintage computer was getting in my way, so I called Mark to help me upgrade to a newer computer given to me by a friend. I read his wonderful reviews, but Mark still exceeded all my expectations. We needed to set up the new computer so it could communicate with my wireless modem, install new versions of software packages from my old system, and port over all my old files. I don't do change well, so I wanted everything on the new computer to look as much as possible like what I was accustomed to seeing on my old system. Mark even had a way for Windows 8.1 to look like the Windows XP formats I was used to! Mark arrived on time and went promptly to work. I was impressed with how experienced he was and how smoothly he went from one step to the next. He didn't dawdle, get distracted, or become puzzled. Tasks that were complex and overwhelming to me were very familiar to him, and he accomplished them with ease. He knew what questions to ask me to see if there would be issues down the road. For instance, when the new computer was up and running, he checked the download speed and discovered that it was really poor. He called AT&T for me (yes, he even speaks AT&T!) and we found out that I could get much faster speed AND save money with a new AT&T Uverse package. I asked Mark to come back and install the new modem that came with the new package, which he did and checked out everything to make sure all aspects of the new system were functioning properly. We had a problem getting my phones to work with the new Uverse system, but Mark applied his expertise and got that to work as well. Mark is patient and understanding with people who are not technologically savvy. He communicates very clearly. He asked several times if I had any questions, to make sure I had the answers I needed to be comfortable with the solutions he provided. He even made follow-up phone calls to check in and make sure everything was running properly. For someone like me, who loves my computer but is helpless if anything goes wrong, that level of care means a lot! I would recommend Mark's services to anyone with computer issues. I don't know if Mark is a Wizard, or a Cyber-Jedi, or what, but I don't care as long as I know he's there to take care of my computer. Thanks, Mark!

First of all Mark answered the phone that is already a plus.It is so good to have someone that takes care of the customers need the old fashion way.
Mark is a teacher, courteous, and wants to help.
We spent two hours fixing printer, cleaning internet, email, iphone. He is amazing how he feels about making someone comfortable and satisfied.We need people in small business like him and he deserve to succeed.

The fix went extremely well. Marc found that we tried upgrading the software on the computer, it did not install properly and therefore not usable. Marc was able to determine the problem, take several steps to remove the software from the system and reinstall the in the correct manner. Marc was also able to reinstall the necessary drivers to enable the use of the second monitor.

Our desktop computer was filled with viruses and spyware.  Mark did the troubleshooting, cleaned up the computer and maximized its performance.  He also installed a wireless card in our desktop, and even helped us set up our smart tv.

We called Mark for consultation to see if he could help us with our son's laptop. It wouldn't connect to our wireless network at home. As my son was leaving for college in a few days he scheduled a home visit for the next day. He arrived promptly, was very professional and helpful to explain everything he was doing to both my son and husband. He took time to answer all our questions and made sure my son's laptop, PS3 and controllers were all working properly. We highly recommend Mark and will call him for our computer needs.

I called Mark on a Tuesday night  and explained the computer issues.  He was able to come Thursday morning.  He was very punctual and immediately worked on problem solving. He kept me informed on what issues he was finding on the computer and explained in detail what he was doing to fix the problem.  In addition, he made changes to my computer which increased the processing speed.

I found Mark on Angie's List and emailed an inquiry - he answered immediately and we were able to set up an appointment within a few days. He was prompt in arriving and was very professional. He gave me three options for what I was trying to accomplish and he performed the work quickly. Excellent customer service and I would use him again for advice in buying new equipment, training, etc.

I had some concerns about my PC which was running very slow and making lots of noise.  It was also freezing up after a few hours.  I was concerned my hard drive might crassh.  My PC is now running faster and quieter and no longer freezing up.  The video card, which Mark identified as the culprit making all that noise, occasionally makes some chatter but it is 99% better than before.  Mark would have replaced the video card if one was available nearby but most stores such as Office Max do not have them in stock.  He gave me instructions on what type of card to buy if I choose to replace it.  He also gave me recommendations for new PC's if I decide to go that route.  All in all, I was very pleased with the service that was provided by Mark.  He was able to come the next day and was right on time.  Mark also gave me his business card and said I could call with questions at any time.  For the kind of expertise he provides, I think the cost of Mark's services is reasonable.

I contacted #1 PC Support via email on Angieslist on 03/18/2013.  I received a callback within 15 minutes and spoke with Mark Becker.  I explained the problem to him and he was able to schedule an appointment on this date at my convenience.  I was verbally provided with his fee schedule and was very satisfied.  Mark arrived exactly at the agreed upon time.  He was professional and respectful.  Mark immediately went to work on the computer.  I briefly reviewed the events leading up to the computer crashing.  He knew exactly what to do without any hesitation.  While fixing my computer he explained in simple terms what he was doing.  After a period of time, he got the computer up and running and at a faster speed then before the crash.  I was extremely satisfied with the work performed.  I received a call later that day from Mark as a follow up.  I am happy the computer is back up and running and that I did not have to purchase another one.  My wife is also happy, which is the most important item!  I will definitely utilize#1 PC Support on any future computer problems.

Mark showed up a little early, which I like.  He was very pleasant.  He figured out the problem I was having in about 10 minutes. and after connecting the computer, put me through the paces to make sure I had it down.  He showed me how to scan, which I'd never done.  He also gave me some tips on the equipment Xfinity had installed.

I called Mark on Tuesday and he was able to see me the next day.  Mark arrived right on time and efficiently gathered information about my computer setup and the issues I was having.  Mark was able to complete all of the work I needed in just under one hour.  He remained focused only on my work and my computer problems even as his cell phone would ring on occasion.  What could have easily turned into a couple of hours of billing for him was wrapped up in just one hour.  I really felt he was particularly aware of the importance of staying on task during his billable time.  I appreciated it. 

Within a couple of minutes Mark had repaired my ethernet cable and my internet started right back up.  From there Mark looked at how I had my wireless router set up and helped me resolve several networking issues.  These included:  my wi-fi enabled desktop was confused and showing two networks being used (this was because I had an ethernet cable plugged into the machine) - Mark showed me how to disable the wi-fi feature on that desktop; my laptop was not able to share a database file that resided on one of my desktops - Mark fixed this when he turned off the wi-fi on my desktop, bringing all of the machines onto the same "shared" network from my ethernet; and lastly Mark walked me through how to check the settings on my machines from a performance standpoint - which helped resolve the slow speed at which one of the desktops was operating.

I've paid a number of consultants for help with computer issues over the years and found Mark to be a great combination of experience and value.  He was able to resolve all issues without having to go do any sort of research, and he didn't look to suggest other things that he felt might be needed to make my systems perfect.  There was no push to have me pay him to babysit a software update on all programs on all of my machines, or to run a malware check or whatever.  He really did stay focused on my main concern which was getting my machines up and running again after my recent office move, restoring internet access for all machines, and getting all of them talking to each other again.  At $120 to get all of that done was a real bargain, and it certainly will make me call Mark again when my next computer issue comes up.
