 + 0 moreThe first time we met, he did a minor repair for us, no charge. I had a pair of speakers stands that had been broken for 15 years; Steve fixed them in 5 minutes. We had a mysterious noise in the basement, Steve identified and fixed it in 10 minutes. Instead of charging us for a dumpster for our tear out, he sold appliances and fixtures for us on Craigslist. With left over kitchen cabinets and an old door, he built a laundry table in the basement, no charge. He can be hard to get ahold of, but he shows up like clockwork, works his heart out, and is focused 100% on the job at hand. He doesn't always answer e-mail quickly, and he's sometimes hard to reach by phone, but when he's working for you, you get his complete attention. If he doesn't respond to your email for a day or two, be patient. He's worth the wait.
Description of Work: AMAZING! "Fast, Cheap, & Perfect" Steve met competition in his quote, then performed with lightning speed, virtually flawless performance, and actually saved us money by showing us lower-cost options to what we thought we needed. When Home Depot dropped the ball on flooring installation, Steve jumped in with his own crew and saved us $600. He saved us $500 on granite countertops over the Home Depot quote, and we were able to pick out the specific granite. He installed recessed lights in a popcorn ceiling without having to repair the ceiling. He removed two huge mirrors glued to the wall for 20 years, without breaking them. He is solution oriented, smart as a tack, and really nice. We had complete confidence in him, and left town for 2 weeks to move our furniture. When we returned, we were amazed at the condo. He even cleaned every surface for us. What a great guy!
