We signed a contract for every other month service for these small ants we would get in our house during the colder months of the year. Well, they failed at getting rid of the ants. Every time they sprayed, the ants would be gone for 2 - 4 weeks, but then come back. On a few occasions, I had them come out to spray in between months, but they never eradicated the ants. The guy that came into my house never took of his shoes or work the protective booties. My experience has been vey disappointing! When I called to terminate my contract, they asked for one more chance. I gave then the chance, and they gave me the two hour time frame window pion when they would show up. On the day they were suppose to arrive they were late 33 minutes, which didn't really bother me, but calling would have been nice. With this lack of not meeting their obligations to get rid of the ants and showing up late, I can't do business with them anymore.

I am very happy with the results of my purchase and the fact that the termites were gone within two weeks and that after locating the mices entries and setting the traps, the mice are now gone.  The Orkin inspector came to my home the same day that I called them.  I was panicked when I saw the termites in my window sill so was extremely happy when he got here.  He showed me the evidence of where the termites were in my  basement ceiling and where they where getting into my house.  This inspector was very professional and knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my questions and address my fears.  An inspector now comes bi-monthly to look for evidence of mice activity.

I have used Orkin for my business and my home and I have no complaints.  They come in once a month and if there is any report of bugs or critters they spray and put out traps and check them regularly. There haven’t been any sightings in a long time. If we do see some pests they come out right away.

We initially hired Orkin because of a small ant problem, as well as the occasional pill bug in our basement. They visited us every two months and charged $80 per visit. After just their second visit, we noticed that we had MORE ants, MORE pill bugs, and now we also had centipedes and quite a few spiders. We had never had spiders or centipedes before. The more they sprayed, the more ants would show up inside our home. Pre-Orkin, we had seen small groups of maybe 20 ants on 4-5 occasions. After Orkin started, we had literally hundreds and likely thousands of ants not only in our basement, but now up in the living room, bedroom, and bathroom. I don't know how long exactly we used Orkin - maybe a year or just over that. We finally decided just to fight the bugs on our own. Immediately after cancelling Orkin, I spent $20 on two different pest control products at the local home improvement store and the ants and centipedes are gone, the pill bugs only make an occasional appearance, and spiders are mostly relegated to the crawlspace and outside of the house. Cancelling Orkin was a very high-pressure and unpleasant experience. We did call to complain between service visits, and they were very good about coming back out to re-spray, but it really didn't do any good. However, I would absolutely not hire Orkin again.
