Went very well! I love everything they did. The were detailed and timely and the pricing seemed quite reasonable!

The initial meeting with the designer went very well and the subsequent installation of the closet design was professionally done in a timely manner. The only problem was that the installer was short one small shelf for the 2nd bedroom closet. The designer agreed to drop off the shelf as she would be in the area. This was about a week after the installation. She failed to deliver. the shelf. We left subsequent phone messages for her. No call was returned. Upon calling Crooked Oak again, we were told the designer was on vacation and she would be given the message to call us. We did not hear from the designer and after about a month and a half, we called her again. The receptionist said she would get information from the designer about the shelf and call us back. When the call was not returned we called back the next day. We were advised that earlier in the day the designer had left the shelf on our porch. Yes, the shelf was on our porch swing with the necessary hardware. The designer left no note nor was any subsequent contact to date from Crooked Oak acknowledging their failure to professionally handle this matter.

Planning took me some time but Crooked Oak was patient with my timing. The day of install was great; installers on time, professional, and end result looks great

Very good business to work with start to finish. Came out and provided a competitive quote and sent us detailed illustrations and material and labor pricing. We contacted two other firms and they took a very long time to provide information, whereas Crooked Oak was able to provide a quote and details right away. They arrived on time and finished sooner than expected. The install team was professional and cleaned up after themselves. The finished closet is beautiful and functional for our needs. I would definitely recommend them and have them back to do other work.

I was desperate for a closet overhaul and have used Crooked Oak in my last home. I called Joel and he was out within a day or two, took measurements, talked through my storage dilemma, and just 1.5 weeks later, I have 3 new closets, perfectly installed. My installer was timely, worked efficiently (and cleanly), and my closets are great. I love supporting locally owned business -- these guys do just as good a job (if not better) than Cali Closets or Closet Works -- two thumbs up! Hire local!

I love Crooked Oak! I have used them in the past and did not even think twice about going anywhere else for our new home. Joanna has been very helpful in working with us to design a closet for our budget. The closets will be installed the end of Sept and I know they will be fantastic quality and craftsmanship. We purchased a new refrigerator recently that was taller than our previous model. This required removing the cabinet above the space. We assumed the cabinet to the side was mounted separately - not the case! So we were in need of a replacement cabinet in a hurry, and the concern was, could anyone match our existing cabinets.
We had used Crooked Oak in the past (for kitchen pantries and garage storage) and have always been pleased, so didn't hesitate to call them again. We are so pleased with the result; one would never know that the cabinet they built was not part of the original installation.
IWeve made it a point to recommend them to many others as their work is top-notch and the customer service from beginning to end is always impressive!

It went great. We were looking for a bed to use in a guest bedroom that, 99% of the time, would be used as a study. We elected to use a Murphy bed, since it just folds up out of the way. We got Joel to build it. He came over, took the measurements, listened to what we wanted, and then came back with a proposal. We visited his workshop to see samples, and came away very impressed with his entire operation. Very neat, very organized. So we went ahead and did the deal, and couldn't be happier. The bed looks great, and operates smoothly. There are custom cabinets on either side of the bed that match great. We were so happy, that we had Joel build the closet in the master bedroom that we were also renovating. It looks great, and I venture to guess cost a lot less than some of the name brands we looked at. I would absolutely recommend Crook Oak for any project like these!

We are very happy with the closet and impressed by the craftsmanship. Our only issue was with their leadership regarding the closet design. We felt like we spent a great deal of time designing a closet to fit our space and needs.

They were accommodating and professional all the way. I loved the end result but we were particularly impressed by the enthusiasm for a relatively small project. Also appreciated their efforts in organization and clean-up. We would definitely recommend!

Crooked Oak was one of two companies I had come out and do a design and estimate. After a long delay on our end they honored their price and did the job just before Christmas in less than a week of getting the order. They took a credit card over the phone as a deposit and came when scheduled. They completed the job and cleaned up after themselves. I would recommend them and hire them again. The one "B" I gave them was because I had to follow up to get the quote. But they are nice people who deserve high marks.

This was a great experience from start to finish. Joel was responsive to my requests during the initial meeting and after drafts were given to me I was able to make additional adjustments. Patrick did a great job with the installation. He worked all three areas at a time to avoid any downtime which tired me out just listening too him running up and down steps between areas. We are very happy with the finished product and can finally eliminate extra dressers and rolling racks that were holding additional clothes. We would definitely use them again and would recommend to anyone.

It is really nice. The only thing was that the sealant that they put on the wood is not exactly good for the environment. Had we known, we would have asked for something else. They were timely. My husband dealt with them mostly and he had no complaints. They gave us racks to put in other rooms to hang our cloths on while they were getting the work done. They provided us drawings ahead of time so we would know what they were going to do.

I went with the company because of their reputation. I liked the fact that the guy was very honest when he came out. I felt comfortable with him. I didn’t really feel comfortable with the other 3 people that came. They are a really good company.

I really could not be happier with the entire experience. Joel and his entire team were easy to work with, particularly with respect to changes I wanted made to the design. They were efficient with the installation and cleaned up after themselves. I received quotes from 4 companies that I found on Angie's List and Joel's price was the most competitive by far for the same quality of materials, number of shelves, number of drawers, accessories, etc.

Joel was extremely pleasant to work with. After listening to our needs, he came up with a plan for our small and dysfunctional closet that is now perfect. The worker who installed the closet called when he was close to the house, was prompt, tidy and efficient. I even received a follow up call and thank you card after service was complete. Will definitely use this company in the future and will recommend to anyone. I've used Angie's list for years, but have never submitted a report until now. This company was great!

The men at Crooked Oak were fantastic in every way. Not only were they completely professional, punctual, responsive, etc., but they were very smart and creative with ideas in a way that we had not experienced with any other company from whom we had requested estimates. For our loft, which had slanted roofing, they were the only company that could give us what we wanted in the way of a closet. I believe the reason for this is simply that they do truly custom work. The other companies that we spoke to must work within a particular scale, and so they are somewhat limited in what they can offer you. Crooked Oak came up with a brilliant proposal that utilized our space most efficiently and gave us more options and they did it for a very reasonable price - in some cases much less than their competition. Additionally, once work began, I decided on a change in plan with part of the closet and they were very accommodating and were able to work it in for me. On top of all of this, I was ill with a fever of 101 the first day of installation. Since my husband was out of town, I kept my 2 year old home from school fearing that I wasn't in any shape to drive. I also have a 4 month old at home, so keeping my 2 year old out of trouble during the installation was a bit of a challenge. Not only were the men patient with my little one, they were even sweet to her. One of the men let her put in some shelf pins and they let her hang out with them for a while during the work. I know this must have been a little annoying, but they were great. There was one unexpected snag during the installation which caused a delay in finishing the project, but they handled it within a couple of business days and to our satisfaction. I was extremely pleased with the end results. We love the work that they did.

We looked at 4 vendors and Crooked Oak provided the best price/service combination. Crooked oak was fair and responsive during the quote, design, and negotiation process. Their installation was prompt and as per contract. They returned once to for a brief fix for a sticking drawer.
