I found the company less than reliable, including in estimating the lead time and rescheduling the installation date, three times.  When there were glitches with the installation, they came out and made it right but were slow to respond.

All in all it was a job well done. The price was competitive, the service was on schedule and quick.

When have you actually been happy using a contractor? Usually it is such an awful experience but not this time! I recently redid my condo and had a less-than-perfect experience with my contractor so when my brother was looking for someone, I obviously had nobody to refer. After three no shows from other contractors, I came to Angie's List and found Stanley's.
The entire process was such a joy and so easy that I am still in awe over the whole thing. Thought they were too good to be true. They answered emails incredibly promptly, were really friendly, came for an estimate quickly as well. They sent little emails like "called the granite place, waiting to hear back" etc. Just little things like that really ease your mind. My contractor made me go to the burbs where I had to rent a car, but not Stanley's. They suggested I look at a granite place that was actually in the city of Chicago, not too far from downtown that I could get to easily. I helped my brother pick out a slab for the kitchen and a remnant slab for the bathroom, and Stanley's said they could begin working on it once we paid half. We mailed a check and few days later we were notified that they got the check and would install the granite a few days later. My brother got a higher grade of granite than what I got for about the same or a little less of the price.
Come installation day, again I feared that they were too good to be true. Would they no-show? Break something? No!!! Two guys came in, took them about 5 hours to do the whole thing. They worked very hard and were professional. They wouldn't even let me give them lunch, just work focused. Granite looks beautiful, no measuring errors. They cleaned up very well too. They even made my brother a cutting board from the leftover granite! It was so nice working with people that you can count on, I would refer these guys to anyone in the market for counter tops!

The worker did a fine job driling the holes. Asked me if the placement was ok before drilling and went to work.

We bought raw slabs of granite at a big box store and had no idea that some companies are apprehensive to work with stone that is not purchased from their company. Well, we found Stanley's on Angies List and they really worked with us. They measured and picked up the granite, hauled it to their facility, completed any fabrication needed, and performed the install in a timely and professional manner. I was so happy with the results. We have more remodels in our home and would use them again. Great job!

Stanley's Marble completed the first of my two apartment kitchen counters w/ islands Monday. I am absolutely thrilled w/ the job they did! They arrived on time and cleaned up before they left. Joanna, at the office, is very responsive and personable. She went above and beyond the call of duty for me. I'm looking forward to have them complete the finishing touches on the second kitchen. Thanks for the high quality work for a reasonable price!!

Great service. They came out within a couple days of my first calling, measured and gave me a quote on the spot, and installed it within a week. Fastest turnaround I have ever seen for granite install. Very pleasant to work with, and their price was very competitive.

this job went great I dealt with Joanna who is responsive and willing to help. They did a nice job with the installation, cleaned up after complete and they gave me a gift....... a matching granite cutting board. They were also well priced.

Stanley's was the only company, of over 10 I contacted, who would do the job. Although there was a delay is getting a crew out here to look at the job, Joanna is very good about keeping in touch via email and on the phone. The workers came on a Thursday to look at the job and measure it, and replaced the broken tread the next day. The new stair tread looks beautiful and fits tightly around a small notch they had to cut out of it. The color matches perfectly. Now the old treads look so dirty in comparison we will need to have them cleaned, but that is a good problem to have.

Very good. Joanna handled everything from beginning to end and was very responsive to my questions. I gave quality a B because one of my counter tops had a scratch but they did what they could to fix it. I would definitely use them again.

Tom was referred to me. I have three issues: 1. The granite is cracked in one spot, which is very obscure, but cracked nonetheless. I'm sure he was aware of it and didn't bother to point it out. 2. He dented my brand new microwave during the installation, and has dodged me for several months as I've attempted to contact him to have it fixed or replaced. I managed to catch him voice-to-voice (as he typically doesn't answer my calls), and he made an appointment to visit my home to discuss the damage, and never showed. Rather than enjoy my new kitchen, I am angered on a daily basis when I see the ugly dent in my microwave. 3. The re installation of my dishwasher was done incorrectly, and I now have to pay a true professional come back to fix it. You might be thinking of hiring Tom to do iron work in your home rather than granite (he does both and also works under the name Tomek of Tomek Iron Originals), but be aware that if something goes wrong in your home, you're on your own. He will not have the integrity to fix his errors. My granite is beautiful, which is more of a testament to the stone than the installation. Considering the repairs, this experience has actually cost more than if I'd used a large retailer, like Home Depot. My advice -- go with someone who has more accountability and professionalism.

Let me tell you that I'm very satisfied with my black kitchen tops and I would like to thank you for your excellent design and installation work. I'm very happy to have chosen Stanleys granite.

Everything turned out well. They finished it and it all good. When I did have a problem, they were responsive and fixed the problem.

It went well. There was a slight problem with the granite and they came back and fixed it the morning we called them.

Was very pleased with his work and detail of my job consist of I was able to not see the connection of the cuts and merges and also liked when the glue it together they keep it nice clean and finished with the clear caulk where my cabinets end with back splash.
