Decent quality, very reasonable pricing, terrible customer service, might be better on big jobs.
I needed a custom-sized double sink vanity and a pair of matching mirrors. We were half way through a master bathroom remodel when the original cabinet maker we contracted with informed us that they couldn't make our vanity. The GC from my bathroom remodel gave me the name of this company stating one of his workers used them on a kitchen remodel and was very happy with their work. The GC had spoken briefly with the owner and was told they could turn around my vanity in about 5 days and at a very reasonable price. Since the lack of a vanity was holding up the entire project, I elected to use this company because they promised to turn it around very quickly. I contacted them and the owner, Jack, arranged to come out to my house for a measurement the next day. He didn't make the appointment. He then called and said my job was too small, and he would either have to charge an extra $300 to come out and measure, or I could come to his shop and bring the measurements myself. The dimensions were pretty straight forward, and were confirmed by my GC, so I took a trip to his shop and placed the order. Jack thought he could have it completed by June 6th, but guarenteed June 10 to give himself a bit of a cushion. June 10th came, and the cabinet still wasn't ready. He told it would be ready by 9am the next day. I arranged to have my brother drive out to their location at 9 am to pick it up, and he was told it wouldn't be ready until 3 in the afternoon. I went back to pick up the vanity at 3 and it was finally ready. The mirrors weren't ready, but that wasn't a big of a deal as I didn't need them for another week or so, and Jack assured me they would be ready in a couple of days.
After getting the vanity home, I realized the size of the cabinets was wrong. The overall length was correct, but the cabinets that would house the sinks were only 24 inches wide, but I told Jack the center of the sinks needed to be 19" from each of the side walls. If I centered the sinks in the existing cabinets, the plumbing would need to moved, and the overhead mirror sconces wouldn't line up with the sinks unless we tore out some of the new tiling, and moved the electric. I called Jack to tell him about the problem, and only got his voice mail, so I left a message. Two days, no reply, I called again, got voice mail, and still no reply. This went on for about a week, and now the granite company was scheduled to come and take measurements for the granite. I spoke to my GC, and we decided to use the existing vanity by eliminating the top center drawer, and cutting out room for the sinks in the walls between cabinets. Not an ideal situation, but I couldn't get a response out of Jack, and I needed a solution fast.
So now we had a solution for the vanity, but I still didn't have my mirrors. After calling for several more days, and just getting Jack's voice mail, I decided to call from a different phone number, and Jack picked up the first time (coinsidence?). I told him I needed my mirrors. He then apologized and said they've been really busy, and that he got my message about the vanity, but hadn't had a chance to call me back. I told him what we did to solve the problem, and he aplogized for the screw up, and offered to come out to my house on Saturday to drop off the mirrors and see if he couldn't build me a new smaller drawer that would fit between the two sinks. He told me to call him on Friday afternoon to confirm everything. I called him, and he answered, but stated he was in meeting and would call me back in 15 minutes. That call never came. And on Saturday, he never came either. I tried calling him severall times to try and find out what was going on, but again just got voice mail. I finally reached him on Monday and he said the glass place screwed up and cut the mirrors the wrong size. We were in the final days of the remodel and I really needed the mirrors so they could be installed before everyone left, so I told him I would take just the frames because I knew a local place where I could get the glass cut while I waited. He said the frames weren't ready yet, but he could have them for me by Tuesday night, including the glass, except I ordered beveled glass, and if I still wanted beveled glass, that would take another week. I said to forget about the bevel, and give me the regular glass. As of Wednesday they still weren't ready. Jack then told me he would be out my way on Thursday and would personally deliver them to my house. Thursday I get a call and he doesn't want to drive to my house and wants to know where I work and if he could meet me there instead. At this point, I will do just about anything to actually get the mirrors, so I agree.
So would I recommend this company? Heck no, unless your only concern is cost, and you have the patience of a saint. Who know, if this was a bigger job, they might have been more responsive. I got the impression that this was just too small of a job for them - more of a nuisance than anything else. All in all, an extremely frustrating experience, resulting in a vanity with no top center drawer, and mirrors with no beveled glass. I will say, that aside from the measurement problem, the quality of the work for the price was very reasonable, but the lack of responsiveness, the lack of accountability, and the lack of meeting their commitments far out weigh any cost savings.
