Absolute Renovations Inc, (Chris Dalzell) began work on March 29th and completed on May 8th.
A rear deck was placed on my home by this company. Initial communication with Chris included us requiring some kind of access to the area below our deck for plumbing purposes. Chris informed me he could not install a panel on the floor of the deck because the wood would warp, which another company informed us with complete non-sense. Any carpenter with simple skills could cut wood to different sizes to allow for access underneath a deck.
Instead, Chris decided to "leave an opening within the lattice work under the deck to allow for access to the ground level. Needless to say, after the completion of the project on a rainy day, we began to see water pouring into our basement on the back wall where the deck was installed.
I called Chris, because the access he said was provided was placed on the wrong side of the deck!
He states, there was nothing he could do because this was not the original plan or request. Any additional work would be charged to us.
After calling plumbers out to look at our water issue, we found that Absolute Renovations, put a crack in our foundation wall when installing the deck!!!!
On top of this we now see tons of imperfections and unfinished work.
-Missing plank at the rear of the deck which was pointed out to Chris and he did not finish.
-Uneven railings on stair and pickets. (stairs were unfinished on last day, and we pointed this out which was then, fixed with pieces of wood to hold the banister and pickets together.
-open unfinished lattice work under deck
