 + -1 moreHow did it go? Terrible. They charged me $132.05 for restocking and shipping on an item I personally returned to them because it didn't work as promised. I am out this money with nothing to show for a product that was not as advertised. If they can't stand behind what they sell, they should NOT be in business. I bought this 38" tow behind lawn sweeper in good faith and it didn't work as promised, so I returned it. DO NOT buy anything from them because you will be left holding the bag with nothing to show for your money if you need to return it for any reason. I NEVER heard of a 25% restocking fee on defective merchandise and will NEVER deal with these people again. Buy from Sears or Farm and Fleet if you need any accessories for your lawn tractor. At least they stand behind what they sell. Don't deal with Power Equipment Direct or Lawn Mowers Direct - they are one and the same. They will RIP YOU OFF. it
Description of Work: Ordered a 38" tow behind lawn/leaf sweeper from their website. Tried to cancel it after reading bad reviews, but they would not cancel. Received item 11/22/2011 via truck delivery. Some of it was already put together. Completed putting it together, tried it out for 20-25 feet and the product was of poor quality and didn't work as advertised, so I called for a return number. Was told there would be a restocking fee of 25% because it was considered "used" - it looked as good when I got it. Got an RA number, was told to return it to their Bolingbrook store which I did on 12/13/2011. They said they would refund my money when I told them it didn't work. My credit card was only refunded $182.59 out of the $314.64 cost which means I paid $132.05 for NOTHING. I don't have anything to show for this money and they won't stand by what they sell. DO NOT deal with this company.
