+ 0 moreIt was great. I have used him for years. He does excellent work and communicates very well. He is usually very busy although he wasn’t when I called him. He usually gives me an idea as to when he would be here. If something happens and he cannot be here he would communicate it to me specifically saying that he would not be able to make it. So I'm not left hanging expecting him to be here. He is a great guy. He is very, very honest. His prices are very fair. Yesterday I sent him an e-mail. I've got more work for him.
Description of Work: I used K Remodel & Construction to replace some ceiling tiles and replace a laminate floor as there was some damage there.

+ -1 moreI really, really hate to write this review. I love Frank. His work is excellent, his prices are terrific and he communicates really well. He's dependable. You usually have to wait for him because he has people waiting in line for him, but it is worth the wait. He'll give you a ballpark estimate of when he can do the work and then he'll be more specific when the time gets closer. You will NEVER spend a day waiting for him to show up unless you don't answer your phone or check your voicemail or email. If he can't come when he thought he could because a previous job went longer that he thought (and who hasn't added stuff "while you're here..." ) then he will let you know that he won't be able to come until the next day. He can be a little slow about sending you the quote for the work, but again, he's worth the wait. Why do I hate to write this review? Because the more business he gets, the longer I will have to wait for him when I have another job for him. He is currently working on his third project for me. (Replacing my front door and some baseboards and adding crown.) He previously built a fireplace surround for me, adding tumbled marble tile, built the mantle and overmantle, and two flanking bookcases per my design. He put electrical outlets inside the bookcase for the stereo and one on the side of the bookcase for other uses. He added lights over the mantle and above the bookcase per my design. I don't even bother to get quotes from other contractors anymore. Frank is MY guy.
Description of Work: Frank removed a ceramic floor in my kitchen, eating area, and foyer and carpeting in my family room. He replaced it with a hardwood floor. He replaced the baseboards in the kitchen, eating area, family room, living room, dining room and foyer. He added crown moulding in the kitchen, eating area, and family room. He reconfigured my kitchen island, adding, replacing and rearranging cabinets. He replaced the handles/knobs to all cabinets, added rollout shelves to my base cabinets, installed undercabinet lighting, a new vented exhaust fan, ran plumbing for and installed a potfiller, ran a gas line for the dual fuel range, installed the new faucet and replaced the garbage disposal. He tiled the backsplash, replaced a couple of recessed can lights with pendant lights, and replaced chandeliers. He also did a few other odds and ends. I paid for most materials separately although he supplied the crown, base, shoe , plumbing pipes and supplies, and a few odds and ends.
