He was very responsive to questions via text message, was prompt, as were his installers. Very professional. I couldn't be happier.
This company is very unprofessional. We paid 50% deposit for the quarts counter top and trusted that the work will be done properly but we ended up without money and counter top. The installers cracked one of the pieces on the connecting
part by the cook-top ? very visible area ? and tried to patch this
up. Then they just left without letting us know.
We noticed the crack immediately and inspected the rest of the counter top ? the area around the sink was uneven. Long
edge lines were more like waves and corners (internal 90 degree) were not even close to being perpendicular to each other. Overhang was way off from what he told us it will be and not uniform. Some places were off by ¼ inch and since
our cabinet handles should be even with counter top ¼ inch make them look terrible, some handles were sticking out and some were under the counter top.
You can imagine how terrible this looked.
Outside corners on the island were way too big (we wanted 90 degree square since kitchen has modern look and wanted
to avoid all rounds as much as possible. Robert (owner) told as that?s the way they are always done but pictures on his own web side suggested otherwise. We looked at hundreds of pictures and counter tops and they don?t ALWAYS have to
have round corners. Edges on underside where not finished and you could cut your fingers on it.
Since we did not accept huge round corners
(around 1.5 inch radius) when they delivered the counter top he promised to fix
it by cutting down overhang on an island piece. They did not install the island
section at the same time as other pieces. When this part was removed I notice big damage to my island cabinets, they did not lift the counter top while installing and instead just slide it over chipping the cabinets on top.
After we inspect counter top and notice all imperfection we contacted Robert to let him know we are unhappy
with the work. He told us it could be easily fixed, (well this is not my first kitchen remodel and not my first counter top so I have some idea what can and what cannot be fix) but we did not trust him and his team anymore, we did not
let him to remove installed countertop afraid they will damage more cabinets.
We removed counter top ourselves (with my other crew working on another kitchen projects) and we returned his cracked
pieces and requested the refund of our deposit.
He sent us some of our money back but deducted for the labor $900, which is outrageous. How can
someone charge for the work if it was not done properly? He was asking for a second chance but excuse me if do not trust his crew anymore.
The vast amount of problems could not be excused to just one mistake, but the unexperienced contractors that were
involved are to blame.
their prices are the best in all Chicago land area.. we researched every company around; did tons of estimates. Granitex was our top pick, and they DID NOT DISAPPOINT us. very professional people. everything went smooth and on time. they kept their word and didn't give us any excuses. everything was on time as scheduled.
i love love love my new granite counter tops.

the project went smoothly from start to finish. they were right on point with everything. they helped us with disign, choice of granite, colors... they are soooo knowledgeable.. project was completed on time and no delays were given. team was very punctional, didnt leave any mess aferwards.
