Workmanship fine. Had to remind the 2 installers to do or correct certain things. Left behind 3 bags of residual material and we had to get rid of it. Supervisor Jay was excellent to work with.

This was joint project with Centennial Builders serving as general contractor. The design was by Interior Transformations of Oak Brook, Illinois. Several independent subcontractors did the electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, glass and stone work. Although Centennial only billed us for $55K, with the cost of the design and certain extras the total was nearly $65K
Mark Scholle, owner of Centennial Builders, was the contractor we chose out of a list of several who regularly work with the designers from Interior Transformations. Centennial is a major contractor in the area that is involved in several large projects including building condos and commercial buildings. We were not sure if he would be interested in such a small project, but he did come in with the lowest bid and seemed willing to work with us. We were not disappointed.
Mark came to inspect the progress of the bathroom almost every day during the two month long project, despite the fact he had numerous jobs underway all over the Chicago area, some 50 miles away from us. That he would treat our bathroom with the same importance that he did  his other multi-million dollar projects was extremely gratifying. The subcontractors that Mark hired were absolutely some of the best tradesmen we have ever encountered. Of special note was Vince Filardi, owner of Masterfloors, who installed more than half a ton of travertine marble. Only one word can describe his work - stunning!
With Mark on the project almost daily the work proceeded rapidly and with virtually no major glitches. His crew made it a point to clean up each day and although we did have to deal with a little dust from time to time the professionalism of the workmen made this only a minor inconvenience. It was nearly a month after signing the contract that Mark asked for any money and did not ask for anything more until the project was half completed. The final  invoice was received several weeks after completion.
Living in your home while it is undergoing a two month long major renovation is never easy, but Centennial Builders made the experience as trouble free as possible. Mark's attention to our needs as well as the superb craftsmanship of his team made this one of the best investments ever.
We highly recommend Centennial Builders and would like to nominate them for a Super Service Award.

Mark Scholle's crews began on time. Kept to the schedule. Did meticulous work. Mark was there every day to ensure that the work was being done properly. He arrived even on days when he was in pain because of a bad back. My wife and I cant praise him and his crews enough. They were professional, pleasant, and exceptionally neat. Every promise made he fullilled He went beyond the call. AND, CENTENNIAL STAYED WITHIN BUDGET!
I would highly recommend Centennial Builders!

Everything they did was great. They came into a very difficult situation and had to fix things that someone else had messed up. With that in mind, and what they had to fix, and to the extent they were able to fix it, it looks great. They had to tear the old wall down and put it up again. I was very happy with what they did. It was a hell of a deal, for what I spent. The money went a long way. I also contracted separately with other contractors for electrical and plumbing and other things left undone that had to be completed. I have a lot of experience with small contractors in the East Peoria/Peoria area. At this point, after that experience, I know most of the contractors, because Peoria itself is not a large city. There are probably about 150,000 people there, and some big factories, but most of it small businesses. I would use this contractor again. In fact, since this project was completed, he has built a bathroom for me at my house in Naperville.
