Great, have gotten compliments on how much better my yard looks!

Several problems with this company.

1) They promised for several weeks that they would show up an didn't. The weather was a problem and I understand that, but they never once called or emailed and said "Sorry we weren't able to do the work, we have rescheduled you for xxx date." Every time I had to call them and even then, if they called me back, the best I would get was "Early next week"... and then they wouldn't show up at all THAT week.

2) The spring cleanup was good, but no edging around the brick fireplace, or the brick steps in the backyard.

3) The wanted to plant Hasta Perennials under my pine trees in the front and along my fence in the back. I said I understand that the Hastas might be the best for under the pine tree (because of the acidity) but that I wanted some more colorful perennials along the fence in the back yard. They showed up, planted Hastas in both places and left.

When I asked what they didn't understand about more colorful, they wrote back and apologized and send me a picture of Corral Bells (a dark purple leafed perennial) offering to replace them. I said no, what about something like this (and I sent them some pictures of red and blue and yellow perennials) and I told them I would be happy to pay extra if it was more expensive... no reply... it's been a week... today they billed my credit card.

Basically the customer services has been non-existent.

When the crew was done, the landscape around my house looked the best that it has ever looked. The crew was very efficient and asked was I satisfied before they left,

These people are amazing. They come every week to cut the grass and stuff like that. They are very reliable. They come and cut on either Friday or Saturday depending on the weather and then they charge the credit card on Tuesday. This is the first year I used them. The last 8 years I tried every body but they were either very expensive or very unreliable or do very bad work. I'm using them right now and I'll use them.

They were fantastic! Great communication, punctual, professional, courteous and did a great job on a yard that had really been neglected for a couple of years. They will be my go to landscaping company for every job.

Their office is always responsive, friendly, and professional. Personally, we are lazy or too busy and they take care of it. To us, well worth the money. Sometimes the snow removal was delayed but only during large or extended snowfall events - which I think is reasonable (esp. 2013/2014) - and they did still come out (my back and knees are grateful). Wish they were available in our current state

The office staff was very helpful and accommodating as I changed from once a week mowing ($29.99) to once every two weeks mowing ($39.99). The "A" grades are for the office staff. When I first signed on with American Lawn & Landscape, I did ask if they used walk-behinds or stand-ons, and I was told stand-ons. I was always troubled by the use of stand-ons on residential property, but because I signed on for such a short period of time of mowing from 9/19/14 to 11/7/14, and Fall cleanup, I figured the use of stand-ons would be o.k. I had a company that used stand-ons before that did some damage to my grass, but American Lawn has a guy who really zips around on that mower and when the grass of wet (this was the case thru several mowings) the tires spin and kick up grass and dirt. As a result, I have numerous bare spots all over my lawn. My neighbor and school crossing guard also noticed the speed in which the guy mowed. Fall cleanup was worse because the ground was definitely wet, and there were two machines going; one in front and the other in back. Both left several bare spots on my lawn.

They are great. Been thru a few lawn companies and they are, hands down, the best.

They are scheduled to comes every 2 weeks. They showed up Friday before Mother's day and cut the lawn, and trimmed the edges, and took the clippings away. I also asked for a quote on trimming bushes and trees, and it seemed like a fair price. When I call they are always friendly and informative.

I pay them $40 every other week. They are fairly expensive. They do a decent job for the money I pay.
