The installation was fine. I spoke with Henry Martinez, and we had an extended conversation regarding the types of units available. My HVAC contractor recommended a full concrete pad, with the ac unit installed and bolted in. Henry / Gorilla Cages said they poured their own concrete, and it was unnecessary to install a separate pad. My ac unit was stolen this week. The thieves were able to pull the cage up, remove it, and toss it aside completely intact. Henry blamed my neighbors, the contractors, and the fact that I didn't choose a more expensive cage. He took no responsibility for the installation or quality of the cage. I would strongly advise against using this company. They do not stand behind their products or their work.

It went well. The installers were professional and quickly completed the job. They also cleaned up the work area when they were finished.

I called the company on a Sunday. Spoke to Henry who was helpful with answering all my questions about the different cage styles that were available. I had to speak to Henry several times for clarity to make sure I would be purchasing the correct cage for my unit. After my research I gave him the measurements for my unit. Price was discussed and an appointment was made for installation. Excellent service, no pressure to make a purchase.

The installers were several hours late. I had given up waiting and left the property. While I was gone, the installer called me and told me they had accessed my back yard and begun the install. I returned to the property where they were digging a hole near my AC where concrete would be poured. It was raining at the time. The installer stated that they would cover the concrete with a tarp. They installed the black metal cage over my AC unit. They placed bright pink foam pads between the cage and my AC unit and told me to remove the pads after a week. The black cage contained about 5 bright yellow Gorilla Cage advertisement stickers. The installer insisted on placing an additional large bright yellow sticker on the top center portion of the cage despite my objection to the stickers. They covered the freshly poured concrete in which the cage was anchored with a plastic grocery bag (not a tarp) then left. A week later, I removed the bright pink pads and the cage immediately drooped in a lopsided, awkward manner rattling and scraping against the AC unit. I called Gorilla Cages and informed them that the cage was not installed symmetrically over the AC unit. They told me to keep the bright pink pads in place. When I informed them that none of their portfolio pictures on their web site featured bright pink pads, they offered to send me black pads for an additional $25.00 plus shipping. I again requested that the cage be symmetrically installed over the AC unit and I was told that a manager would return my call. Several months later I'm still waiting for that return phone call. If you're looking to secure your AC unit, this is not at all reputable company.

These guys did a great job, and I'm sorry to them that I'm really late with this review. If you need to secure your AC, these are the people to use.

I was referred to this company by one of the workers installing an HVAC system in my home. The initial encounter was great. I spoke with the owner Mr. Martinez and he assured me the job could be done on the day requested. I was quoted a price and was told about a coupon for $50 off that was available on their web site. I thought that was really nice even though I thought the price was a bit much for this product. Because I had no alternatives I agreed to move forward. We communicated by phone and with his office staff by email. I even spoke w him the day before to confirm. Everything was going fine, until the day of the install. The tech arrived as promised prepared to do the install which went well. The device was explained to me and how it operated. Perfect, now I can relax. So I thought. I was presented with the bill and I was told he had to have the printed coupon. No problem, I ran in and printed the coupon and presented it along with my credit card. It was then when everything went downhill. The tech told me because he was doing an install at another location he was asked to come over and do mine. He said he did not have his machine to run my credit card. I asked him how the other customer had paid and he could not answer. So, I said no problem, I'll just write a check. He then told me that would be fine, but he would not be able to leave the keys. He would have to take them with him and once the check cleared someone would bring the keys to me; in about 7-10 days. He suggested that I could avoid all of that and just pay cash! I have to say I was very much taken aback by all of this. I attempted to reach Mr. Martinez without success. I said WHAT! Pay cash, I am not at all comfortable with that. First off, who does any of this? What business coming to perform a task or service comes unprepared to accept a payment? What type of business has the capability to accept Credit/Debit cards but is not prepared to do so at the job site? What business does not tell you up front about their payment policies? What business asks to be paid in cash or they hold they keys for ransom? What business requests cash payments these days? OK, so when they do this, what business doesn't follow up with the customer or follow through? I explained there was no way I was going to pay for this in cash. Frustrated, I again attempted to reach Mr. Martinez unsuccessfully. The tech stated I only had the 2 options or to cancel the job. Now the unit is in, the install for the HVAC is just about completed and I don't know what I can do at this point. So I gave him the check and sent an email to Inge. I mentioned this to the HVAC tech that referred them and he was just as surprised as I was. I read some of the other reviews, and I must say I was not privy to the all star award winning customer service they spoke about. I was left to deal with Inge, what a terrible person to represent your company. Customer SERVICE? I don't believe so! If she responded to my emails you did. And when she did, the tone was negative and dismissive. I never received a call back from Mr. Martinez either, nor was I permitted to speak to him in the office. Perhaps he never received the phone calls or the messages I left? Again, I called and sent an email regarding the delivery of my keys. No response. Still not able to reach Mr. Martinez, and again, Inge was dismissive. I sent an email just last night 8/3/16 and have not received a response yet. You might ask why you are attempting to contact them now. Well I'll tell you: I NEVER RECEIVED MY KEYS, A PHONE CALL BACK FROM MR. MARTINEZ OR AN APOLOGY FOR THE POOR CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE AND THE LACK OF COMMUNICATION FROM THE STAFF AS WELL AS THE OWNER. So when they come to service the unit, they can't access it because I have no keys to the cage. The keys were never delivered as promised. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE BRING ME MY KEYS?! IT'S BEEN ALMOST 1 YR SINCE THE INSTALL. Customer service along with customer satisfaction goes a long ways. That's the way it used to be. Not so much today. Workmen used to take pride in their workmanship as well as their products and the company reputation. Somehow today, the art of customer service has died and the interest in customer satisfaction in a lot of cases, inclusive of this one, appears to have died along with it. I'm happy someone had a good experience, but it certainly wasn't me.

I contacted Mr. Martinez regarding installing a cage around my air conditioner.  The estimate was provided promptly and there was no problem scheduling the work.  The cage was installed on time, in a professional manner.  I am very happy I chose Gorilla Cages and would highly recommend Mr. Martinez and staff to others who require the same service.

Oh my goodness!! I just closed on my new home 04/01/2015. The seller of my new home installed a brand new central air unit the very same day that I closed. However, it was not secured against potential theft.  I called around and no one could install a cage until after the 15th!  I called Gorilla the day after I closed; they came out, measured my unit and installed a custom cage the very same day. Quick, professional, and friendly service. I highly recommend them.

Great customer service rep answered the phone and was able to give a price quote and set up same day installation.  Service representative arrived on time to explain installation and take measurements.  The size I needed was not on the truck so the installer came back in less than two hours and completed the installation.

The office called with a quote on 12/10/2014 and we scheduled the installation the same day. James and Robert arrived an hour earlier than their ETA and were finished by the time they were supposed to be arriving! They were very professional and James explained and demonstrated everything before the work began. I would definitely recommend them to others.

I would like to start off with saying that from my initial call to the end of the job everything went very well . I called on Monday 7/23/14
and a very plasant and helpful young woman took and gave me feedback that made me feel that this was the correct company to do busines s with. I made an appointent that very day a salesman by the name of Darnell came afew hours later.. He called to make sure that it was ok to come a little early. When he arrived and I ask for his ID He showed it to me with a smile. He was very professional and polite. He took the measurement that were needed and informed me thar someone would contact me in a few days. Henry called a few days later with the install date and prices. Henry was also very pleasant and made sure that I understood
the entire process from start to finish. The work was completed today and I am very satisfied with the out come.. I never had this type of work done before, and I can say it was a very pleasant experience aand I would recommed and use GORILLA CAGE company again,
