We moved into an old Victorian home this summer and the previous owner recently had all the windows on the 2nd floor replaced by Window World of Bloomington. We transferred the lifetime warranty to our name when we took ownership of the home. Replacing the 1st floor windows was one of our first priorities after moving in. We called Window World of Bloomington so that we would continue to have a lifetime warranty on all of our windows and to also keep everything consistent. The windows on our 1st floor are very large and the frames are very old, detailed wood. When Rob was out for our consultation, he was able to show me wood samples so that the interior of the windows would match the frame as best as possible. This was important to us to keep the character of the home while still having modern and efficient windows. In the end, they turned out fabulous! We have only had the new windows for 2 days and we can already tell a difference in how quiet our living room is (our home is on a busy intersection). Can't wait to see how our energy bills will change this winter as well!  Many thanks to Rob, the ladies in the office, and 2 men that came out for the installation. Professionalism across the board! We will recommend 100%!

When replacing windows, they gouged in numerous places our 100 year old wood trim windowsills (3). One mark was 1/2 inch deep. The disregard for historic trim was atrocious. They came out 3 times to refinish the windowsills. The job was horrible.  The first attempt the worker only spotted in the stain and varnish where the gouges and nicks were.  Said he was told to only do the areas they damaged.  This made the windowsills look like a spotted cow. Second time a worker came out, he didn't even have a sander to remove the bad job his coworker had made. The third visit was somewhat better but not what it should have been. The surface is still rough and only applied 1 coat of polyurethane.  Shipshod job to say the least.  The owner always had excuses.  After the final visit, they will not be allowed back to our home, the owner has not called us to see how things turned out.  Professionalism and customer service  are non-existent.

Also, Window World charged us a permit fee, which has never been refunded.  I called our county zoning commission and was advised that our rural area is not assessed such a fee.  I sent an email to the owner regarding this item as well as our dissatisfaction in the entire job.

Please think twice before using this company who does not stand behind their workmanship. 

The first 2 window they had ordered did not fit because they measured wrong.
 Of the next 2 they ordered, one fit but the other did not.  After Window World tried 4 times to get the second window to fit, I asked for my money on the second window back.  The woman I talked to agreed to it, but then after 2 weeks of me calling, the manager Paul called and said he would not give me my money back.  
The window clearly was measured wrong and they said if I wanted to try and get my money back through legal means to go ahead and "bring it on".  Now I am stuck with a window that is not installed correctly and will be subject to rain and winter weather.

Sales man was incompetent and wrote down the wrong type of door which I didn'y notice till later that evening.  When we call them to report the problem they told us too bad.  They told us they would sell us a new door at cost but we were stuck with the door by bought.  They suggested we try to sell it on Ebay. While they were installing it they asked me if I had the new door knob and lock for the door.  Again another example of the incompitance of the sales man, we had pick out the one we wanted from him the day he came and gave us his sales pitch. I had to call my husband home from work to deal with the situation.  They did conceed to "giving" us a new lock and knob. The sales contract was hand written so sloppy it was impossible to read/tell who was write or wrong. Overall felt like we got screwed.
