Very pleased with this project by Illini Pella, 1001 North Country Fair Drive in Champaign, IL. We went to their showroom to look at replacement sliding patio doors, and talked to Dave Rollins. We had researched doors online, and were looking at Pella's 350 series all vinyl door. Dave gave us a good demonstration of the door, comparisons to other doors, and a very good cost estimate. We ordered the door, and it arrived on time in about 10 days. The installer, Dennis Reed, and his helper showed up at the appointed time, and started removing our old door. The installation was a little challenging because the rough opening in our house was not a standard size. The installers did a wonderful job of getting the door installed. I asked them to leave off the interior trim as I was in the process of replacing all the trim in the house. They willingly worked with me on this, and even provided some tips on installing my trim. We are very pleased with this door. It looks beautiful and works flawlessly. The installation turned out great with the interior trim now installed. Very happy with my experience with Illini Pella, and would recommend them to all.

But they would be the wrong size when it came in. They would order the windows again. It happened at least twice. Each time the windows would be ordered, delivered, and upon coming out to install them, they'd discover they were the wrong size. They were very slow to respond to these replacements. It took a period of months to get the replacements. We had to have several windows replaced due to rotting. I would never use this product again nor the business that sells their product. There was a law suit against Pella concerning the windows but we had nothing to do with that. However we did benefit by getting a lower price for our replacements.

The windows were delayed, pushing us close to other deadlines. After the initial contact and visit by the salesperson,
II had to initiate further contact to find why the windows were delayed. I felt he should have contacted me to inform me of the delay. I had also requested different hardware shortly after making the initial order. This was not sent in and the windows came with the original hardware. We chose not to order replacement hardware.

We are looking to replace most of the windows in our house and got a quote from the local Pella Store. Was a two week wait for the estimate appointment; however sales rep was on-time, very knowledgeable and helpful. Responded promptly to several follow-up questions as we worked through our options. Ultimately chose to work with another vendor due to the cost of the Pella windows. Quality was clearly higher, but at a significantly higher price. Overall glad we took a look at this option, and would consider again in the future.

We had them do work on all of our windows in our house over the last few years. We were very happy with their service. The contractor was Larry Kelly who put the windows in. We were very pleased with the work. The quality of the windows had been excellent but expensive and then I thought the installation was fine too. They did a good work in removing our old windows, putting in the windows and finishing it out in the inside and outside so it will look nice. They did a good job.

We were very happy with them. We brought the windows from them and their installers were the ones whom we were really impressed with. The company of the gentlemen who installed the windows was Capstone Carpentry and he works through Pella Window Store and Pella Window Store sub-contracts Capstone for doing the actual installation. They were easy to work with. They showed up on time and when they said they would. They completed the job and we even ran into couple of problems while they were doing it. They took care of it as they were going along. They repaired and took care of everything. There wasn’t just anything to complaint about them. They cleaned up after by themselves and it was great.

Front windows were apparently leaking over a long period of time, without our knowledge. There was never any visible rain leaking in or puddles of water accumulating, but moisture must have been slowly penetrating the seals and/or wood trim. We began to notice mold and fungus growing on bottom interior wood trim. The service manager came to look at the windows and said they would be repaired at no charge, since they were still under warranty. I did not expect that they would do anything about the problem at all; so, I was very pleasantly surprised and even amazed that this potentially expensive repair was done with no conflict whatsoever. We did have to reschedule several times due to winter weather and the scheduling was always done at our convenience. When work was done in the early spring, it was completed in a few hours time. Workers arrived promptly and were quick and professional. With the exception that there was new glass and trim in the windows, you could not even tell they were there. They arrived, did their work, cleaned up everything after themselves and left. They were obviously skilled, knowledgeable and experienced.

The window is 43 by 75. They did an excellent job. I would tell others that they would be the best people to go with if you need a window. In fact, they even negotiated on a lower price than what we had originally agreed for. So that was good. We liked them so much that we would have them do three more big windows for a nice price. I would definitely recommend them. I had received estimates for this particular window and nobody had what I wanted. So I went to Pella. There is nothing bad to say about them. About 15 years ago, I had 9 windows in my house that were all of the same size. I had 3 or 4 people come here and estimate. They were ridiculously high. So I then went to Pella and they gave me the exact price, but I installed the windows myself. However, the last window was pretty big for a homeowner to install.
