Neighborhood Auction House

The men showed up completely unprepared to pack up house contents.  They had moving boxes, but no box tape or wrapping materials.  They actually went up to the local store to buy newspaper to wrap items with.  Because they did not tape the boxes, several items were dropped.
They only brought one box truck, which necessitated an additional trip to bring back a pick up truck.  They should have brought a flat bed trailer to transport a riding lawnmower, and other large, heavy items.  Instead, the items were stacked on top of one another.   One of the workers even joked about it looking like "Sanford and Sons".
The auction was held a few weeks later.  We were never asked if we wanted to set a minimum bid on some items (including an Ethan Allen table and chairs, a lighted china cabinet, and a lift chair).  Our items were combined in an auction that featured antiques and Pepsi Cola collectibles. 
I did not attend the auction personally, so I can't attest to whether the auction was conducted in a professional manner or not.   I know that online photographs focused primarily on the antiques and collectibles.
 The final proceeds of the auction barely covered their $900 fee for the clean out.
