Lowe's

I'm not too happy about them. They couldn't receive an 'A' because of corporate management.

At that time, there was just a miscommunication between when material would arrive and it took longer than expected. They did not communicate to me.

We used Lowe's for lamanent floors.  They came about two months ago.  They did the wrong thing.  They cut the door jamb too short.  There were gaps between the floor and the door jamb.  This was the first time using them.  I would want others to know to ask questions to them before committing.

It was a really pleasant experience. The person there was extremely helpful. We asked a lot of questions and she was just amazingly patient and helpful in giving us samples and suggestions so we found her input really helpful to the whole process in trying to make a decision on how we were going to do this and all of that. That worked out really well. They also have a Lowe's supervisor who comes out and checks on the work so they were really thorough in a lot of ways. They have checkpoints along the way so they made it pretty simple for us.

They put the windows twice already and they probably have to do it again. I'm not happy with them right now to straighten up my windows. They re-installed them again last year in the fall and someone came out to look at them and they're out of square or so. Right now they're working with me in the yard and what they're going to do about it and I hope for another recommendation. The quality of the product was excellent but the quality of work was not so good.

They came out and took care of the problem. The person in charge also said I could call him directly with any further trouble. When he came out, he was there a half hour after I called.

My experience has always been excellent and I will use them again in the future.

I wasn't to happy with my experience. From the beginning, I felt like who I dealt with was not professional. They scheduled a date and did not come. I had to contact the store assitant manager who kept passing me off. The delivery process was not good. We had to keep changing dates. The service of the work was also not so great. Two gentlemen came to install kitchen and utility floor. One man left and the other was not so happy. They didn't fully install the baseboard behind my washer and dryer. And, lastly, they did not clean up after the work was complete. The plumbers who came was the only positive experience. They were neat and professional. Coming into my home they put sleeves on their shoes so they would not track in dirt. They actually came back to assist me in moving my refridgerator back when the floor installers were supposed to do so.

I checked out a number of outlets for laminate flooring, including installation. Lowe's was the best combination of quality and cost for my needs. Reggie's team contacted me to set up an installation date, and then we ended up moving it up a week and a half when his schedule changed. That suited me better than the original date. He arrived early to do some prep work, and then when his crew came in after lunch, they knocked out the job in the afternoon. I am very pleased with the results, and his crew were great to work with.

The crew who came out was professional, responsive and punctual. Their pricing was reasonable and the quality of their work was good.

They did show up and start working. They were often late and sometimes did not show up at all and I would call them and they would have some excuse. Over all the work is not horrible. But, here are some of the issues that I had, instead of 3 days it took 3 weeks. I had to move all of the furniture my self. The threshhold from the kitchen into the living room came loose and they had to repair it. The threshold from the living room into the front room has a split between the laminate flooring and the thresh hold piece. In the living room they did drill a hole for my cable. But, they did not go down stairs into the basement and check to see where to drill and where we had drilled the last time. They just drilled and hit a brick wall. They finally did drill it correctly, but I have an extra hole in my floor. It was one of the worst experiences that I have ever had. I have complained to the contractor Billy. I get the run around. He will show up and say that he will be back to fix the problem and never returns. One time we had an appointment and he was in Florida on vacation with his family. There is a flaw in the flooring at the enterance from the basement to the kitchen, livingroom and bathroom. He said it was a gouge and not covered. I have Inflamitory Arthritis, Osteo Arthritis, Fibromyaliga, Asthma and I had carpal tunnel on both hands. Now I am not sure that huge piece of furniture or whatever he thinks that I was moving could have caused the gouge. He finally agreed to fix it. He carried down the flooring from my upstairs storage room and put it under my side board to warm up to room temperature. I have never seen or heard from him since. I have talked to the managers at Lowes and they just say it is a problem to be resolved between me and the contractor. So, no help there. I am going to have to pay to have the floor fixed by someone else, and just live with the shoddy work around the phone and cable outlets. I have argued with this contractor for a couple of years. I guess the 25 year guarentee on the Pergio flooring is also worthless. My advice would be not to use any contractor from Lowes, especially if he does flooring and his name is Billy. Just don't let him in your house. I have added some pictures. I could not get a good one of the flaw in the flooring near my kitchen door.
