"I want to start by apologizing for any negative experience you may have had. I will gladly meet with you to immediately rectify any workmanship related issues as we stand by our work. Upon review of your contract it was apparent that the pricing structure was spelled out prior to the commencement of work and signed as approved by you. All change orders requested by you had also been signed in advance and approved prior to work starting. However, if you have an issue regarding a bill I will do what I can to satisfy you even if the contract is over two years old. The last item I noticed is that we provided $980.50 of free work for repainting of the edges of the trim and the walls due to your decision to change color. The colors are all approved and signed off on in advance. We also then painted trim and ceilings not included in our contract due to previous painters leaving colors on those areas making our work look poor. From recollection I know that you were under a tremendous time constraint that required work in the evenings and even Sundays to meet your deadline which requires a premium but I felt it had been spelled out in advance or you could have selected a different contractor. I even requested you slow down the process as I felt it was rushed. All was going well until you decided you did not like the trim color then you got upset. I am sorry but we can not control customer preferences. We try diligently to sign off on items to prevent costly mistakes but in this instance you felt that was still our fault. I am sorry and will still come to fix anything we need to make you happy."

"Below is the email sent to the customer. As you can see we tried to remedy the situation and even agreed to a $250.00 credit even though we did not feel we did anything wrong. He agreed to the credit but obviously changed his mind. We tried to help him as he did most of this work or all of the product ordering himself (without permits) which was evident. ----------------- Customer, In 19 years of business I have never had a complaint against me nor have I had a complaint of this magnitude.I do not feel we damaged the stove nor do I feel the cabinet was our fault as the studs are not to normal and customary construction standards but that is all irrelevant. You tell me on paper or email exactly what you wish me to do to rectify this with you and I will do it. I want one all encompassing list with your word that this will take care of you and I will do it.I do believe that I have made every effort to fix what is needed and have not avoided you in any way. Again I am sorry."
