D & D Roofing

This is a one-man company, and the owner is terribly unreliable. The bid for labor was right-on, but the bid for materials was way off. He purchased way too many supplies, and I am left with a huge surplus that I cannot return because the job took too long. He urged me to rent a dumpster immediately, and then did not show up for two weeks, so I ended up having to pay for an extra two weeks of dumpster rental. He agreed that this was his fault, and told me to have the dumpster taken away and promised to pay the $170 extra the dumpster company charged me. He had still not completed the tear-off of the old roof, but said that he'd take care of getting rid of the old roofing materials if the city did not pick up the debris. The old roofing materials sat on my curb for two weeks, when the city finally came and disposed of them, charging me $300 in the process. Danny Davis said he would reimburse me for that, but of course never did. Also, when the main roof was nearly completed, we agreed that for another $400 he would tear-off and replace my porch roof. I was a complete and total idiot, and gave him the money up front. After an entire YEAR, and more telephone calls than I can count, he finally returned, tore off the old roof and did a PARTIAL rebuild. He left a huge pile of debris in my front yard for nearly two weeks (until I finally cleaned it up myself) and it ruined some of my landscaping. He ended by yelling at me and calling me names, and I had to hire someone else to finish the porch. Incredibly poor service!! Do NOT EVER hire this man!
