I had brought my car in to get the air conditioning checked out back in May since it was not working properly. Clay Dooley thought they had it fixed, but sure enough the same problem occurred. I took it back four more times until the puzzle was solved and it now appears to be working OK. While it was disappointing to have to return so many times, the mechanics were very diligent in making sure the problem was fixed and did not charge me anything extra beyond the original diagnostic test. It was like living through an episode of "Car Talk" but in the end I think they nailed it and I was treated very fairly by the staff.

Great experience.  Nice, attentive people.  No up-selling.  No recommending things that weren't needed or any of that.  Just good, simple, professional experience.  Definitely a win. 

I have used Clay Dooley for over 25 years.  They have always done an excellent job for me.  They are fair and reasonably priced.  I have never felt over charged.  Two years ago, I took my Ford Explorer to them to have the brakes checked.  I thought the brakes sounded funny.  I told them that my daughter was driving the vehicle to Idaho for an internship and that I needed to make sure that the brakes were in good shape.  Under the circumstances, they could have charged me for a complete brake job had they wanted to.  They called me after looking at the brakes and that there was just a minor adjustment needed.  When I picked up the car, they told me they had gone over the entire car to make sure everything was OK, which I appreciated very much.  They charged me a grand total of $15.00.  Unless a vehicle of mine is under warranty, this is the only place I take them.

Took the car in without an appointment and they worked me in. Called when car was ready and did a great job.

Staff was attentive and took care to outline everything that needed to be done.  Work was performed properly and promptly.

Our car had been involved in a front end accident that entailed an extensive repair costing approximately $2,000.  In doing this repair, they had used, at my request, used parts.  It turned out that there was a problem coming from the use of a used front end assembly that was a pretty unusual.  It took a couple of tries to get it done, but in the process they did things "above and beyond" to take care of us, like picking my wife up from he job.  When the problem was discovered and fixed, they went back to the invoice and credited us with every nickel the overisight had cost us. I think it is important for me to say that the problem was never a safety issue or presented any kind of danger us.  We came out of the experience with our respect for the firm intact and plan on using them in the future.
