work was performed over parts of two days.primarily one worker .the owner ,mr manness stopped by on two occasions.was presented with a bill for parts of 440.00.then given labor bill of 1100.when i looked at the hours there were approximately 4-4.5 hours that i knew they had not been there.when i asked about this he said they charged for driving time to and from.i subsequently discovered his shop and home are just down the road from us,approximately one half mile.he also claims maybe his helper had to go get gas for his truck.the gas station is one half mile from his shop as well.i was so angry he said if i paid in cash he would drop the service charge of 75.00.upon later asking around ,eg at the local hardware store, i discovered this is not an isolated instance of gross overcharging,and that he is well known for doing so.when i described the work done i was told that it was a simple proceedure and shouldn't have taken as long as it did and certainly should not have cost what i paid.
