They called me at 10 AM stating the veterinarian had examined my dog and he needed the toorh extracted. Even though they normally do not do surgeries on Monday's they did the necessary bloodwork, anaesthesia, extracted the broken tooth abd gave him a full dental cleaning while he was under anaesthesia. They did a wonderful job abd I highly recommend them! My dog is 4 years old and had never been left since his neuter ar a year old and they were fabulous with him. Thank you Bortell Animal Hospital!

They're always very helpful and seem to know what to do. We had one dog that had Blastomycosis and we needed to bring her to a teaching hospital in Urbana. He was sick for a year and had tumors on his lungs. Another dog had an intestinal condition and they diagnosed this as well and she uses Prednisone every other day for this condition. They are good with scheduling appointments and keeping them on-time.

Dr. Vatti and Dr. Bortell and the staff are all very kind, professional, and love animals. We've been working with them regularly for the past couple of months for a found cat with some pretty bad injuries. Every time we visit we are greeted and never have to sit around long with service. We speak to a doctor every time, they answer all our questions, and make sure we know what we are doing. They have performed surgeries as well as more and quot;normaland quot; things. Currently, Vatti is consulting with an eye specialist for us. Bortell practices Chinese in addition to Western medicine, so they are very willing to think outside the box and provide multiple options. The staff is extra kind and always calls to check up on their patients and see if we need anything. The only draw-back is they are not cheap - but I believe they are correctly priced for the high level of service they offer.

I have been taking my cats to Dr. Bortell since he first became a veterinarian. I trust him explicitly with my furry kids. This visit was really a follow up on Jaydens health. We adopted him at 9 years of age last year and he came to us with known health issues. With our love and Dr. Bortell's caring and expertise, Jayden is a new cat! We did some extensive traveling this winter, with our cats, and Dr. B was always very patient with me and all my questions. He takes phone calls and texts and always displays the same caring, loving attitude. He treats us and our animals as if we are family. He helped us keep Jayden as healthy as possible and ensured we received the medicine and support we needed. He is a great vet and a trusted friend!

They are fairly priced. They really do care about the animals. I feel like they do just anything for us. We would use them again in the future.

Dr. Bortell bought over the business from another doctor that was he was in business with and had retired. He is excellent and now there is a woman that is in the same practice with him. The price that we have had for our dog has been comparable to any of the other vets. He is so sympathetic and just a great guy like the other doctor. He has an excellent bedside manner and he is a good doctor.

We have been taking our dog to Dr. Bortell since we got her at 9 weeks old in 2007. He has a great bedside manner, as does his new associate Dr. Hatlelid. The entire staff is wonderful to work with. Any time we've had a question or concern, both vets and the all of the staff have been great about answering our questions, or making sure that she's seen if it's a bigger issue. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone needing a vet.

Every visit with Dr. Bortell is fabulous. He is kind, thorough, and has an excellent bedside manner with our cats. I trust him fully.
