Alltemp Fireplaces Inc

My direct vent fireplace hadn't been working and I assumed a part had gone bad.  I called a few places.  One didn't call back, another was in the city and charged $250 to come this far out to look at it.  Then I found Eric.  He checked it all out, cleaned everything, and got it working again.  He went over all the controls with me to be sure I knew what was what.  He was here for more than an hour and charged $69.  I think that was a bargain.  He arrived as promised and was neat and polite.  I will have him out every year from now on.  It is so great to know that when it does need repair, I know exactly who to call.

Eric did an excellent job through the entire process from initial discussions through installation. Price was very reasonable and quality/craftsmanship top-notch.

They came out and condemned my furnace.  I found them on Angie's List.  They were rated very highly.  The service man was pretty sure that he found a crack in the heat exchange.  It was under home warranty and I called my home warranty.  I said that it needs to be replaced.  I told them that I didn't want to buy a furnace from them if I couldn't get it replaced to the warranty.  My warranty, HMS brought out their own furnace service person because they don't take anyone's word for it and they took a look at it again.  They came out and did not find a crack at all.  They did the smoke test.  I called Alltemp asking why they said that they found a crack when the other person didn't.  One company wanted to sell a furnace and the other company didn't want to pay on a claim.  I called Alltemp and the same guy came out.  I asked him to prove to me that there was a crack in the heat exchange.  He showed it to me with water test and mirrors, but I didn't see it so I called a third company that did more tests and confirmed there was no crack in the heat exchange.  I don't know if they were trying to sell me a new furnace.  The 2 other opinions confirmed that the furnace was okay.  I was disappointed that they said that there was a crack in the heat exchange that 2 other people didn't find.  I don't think their test proved anything.  They did a fine job with the cleaning, but I don't know how to rate a company that was trying to sell me something that I didn't need yet.  The quality of the cleaning was fine, but the diagnosis was false.  They didn't come out the same day, but it was reasonable.  They were very professional.  I would not use them again in the future.

They did very nice work.  The salesman that we worked was very good and they provided excellent craftsmanship.  We were very happy with them.

Perfect. Eric showed up when he said he would and was efficient, polite and got the job done.

I was remolding our living room, part of which was replacing the fireplace mantel and surround and converting the fireplace to gas. After visting a number of stores I could not find a mantel and surround I liked in the dimensions I wanted. While visiting Alltemp Fireplaces, Eric said if I gave them a picture of the mantel and surround I wanted, they would build it to the dimensions I specified. After deciding on Alltemp, Eric visted my home a few times to verify, and double check, dimensions , and install the new gas line to the fireplace. I gave Eric the picture and he assured me the finished surround would look just like the picture. I was a little apprehensive, since I like to see and touch something before I make a purchase. In a few weeks Eric delivered and installed the surround. I must say I was very pleased with the final product. The mantel and surround did look exactly like the picture. The quality of worksmenship was evident. Eric was also very neat and clean with the installation. It cost a little more than buying from other dealers, but it was well worth it to get exactly what I wanted.

They were on time to do the job, They were very personable. They were courteous and kind. I would use them in the future. The quality of their work was very good.

DAVE, THE OWNER, CAME TO THE HOME ON TIME, AND GAVE AN ESTIMATE ON THE SPOT. I THOUGHT THIS WAS PRETTY UNUSUAL, BUT THE QUOTE WAS WHAT HE ACTUALLY CHARGED. THE INSTALLERS ARRIVED ON TIME AND WERE FINISHED 1/2 DAY EARLY. THEY WERE POLITE AND CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES. THE ONLY SLIGHT PROBLEM HAD TO DO WITH THE FACING. I ASKED ABOUT LIMESTONE, BUT HE ONLY HAD GREY, AND INDICATED THAT THAT WAS THE ONLY COLOR IT CAME IN. AS I AM A DESIGNER, I KNOW THIS IS NOT THE CASE. WE ENDED UP HAVING MARBLE INSTALLED BY A STONE AND MARBLE PLACE. OVERALL, I WOULD RECOMMEND FOR FIREPLACE INSTALLATION ONLY.

DAVE, THE OWNER, AND EVERYONE AT ALLTEMP, WAS GREAT. THEY WERE ALWAYS PROMPT, RESPONSIVE, AND COMMUNICATIVE. THE WORKMEN WERE ON TIME, CLEAN, AND PLEASANT. QUALITY WORKMANSHIP. COMPETITIVELY PRICED. THEY DIDN'T SELL ME OPTIONAL COMPONENTS JUST TO INFLATE THE JOB.
