Larry is the consummate professional.  He made sure I understood everything he was going to do and was extremely patient when I had questions.

I was-and am-very pleased with the work that Larry did on my house.  I had just purchased the house-and so was basically redoing everything suit my own tastes.  Larry helped me with color choices-and put up with a fair number of changes in that department!  His attention to detail and the quality of his work was outstanding.  Other than the unavoidable chips & scratches that come with living in the house for the past 8 years, his work has stood the test of time exceptionally well.  In fact, if you just look at the walls (& ceiling) above eye level, they look just as they did when he first painted them. 
Another big advantage to hiring Larry, is that he is very pet-friendly-and takes great care to ensure the safety of any animals in his clients' homes.  Not only was he vigilant about making sure my dog and cat were contained if he had to have the doors open for any length of time-but he became one of my dog, Calvin's, favorite visitors:-)  
I would absolutely hire Larry again in the future-and would encourage anyone looking for painting and plastering work to check him out!

Larry is the consummate professional.  He is amazing at his trade, but more importantly (to us, anyway) he is extremely diligent, responsive, and respectful.  If I could give him a higher grade than an "A" I would.   I would hire him again without even getting other quotes.

Beyond wonderful!  Larry is an artist! Our walls and ceiling are in a 1920's bungalow and needed tender loving care.  Many cracks, etc.  Larry is a perfectionist (lucky us).  He takes great care and uses great talent in repairing the cracks. His prep work before painting is very meticulous.  When he was done the walls and ceiling looked, as my husband says, "like cream cheese" they were so smooth. The paint was top quality and matched perfectly  to what colors we gave Larry.  The paint job is indeed like an artist's- just beautiful.  Larry also puts a bead of caulk along the meeting of walls and ceiling and it makes the finishing touch so crisp and beautiful. 
  Larry is very careful to cover furniture and clean up beautifully.  He went above and beyond when a screen door needed some wood repair and did that for us expertly for a very reasonable price.  There were other odds and ends we asked if he could do (he is very clever) that worked out great as well.
Bottom line...If you want a spectacular paint job HIRE LARRY!  We are so very grateful we did again (We used him before with excellent results as well).

Larry did a very god job painting our house and we are very happy with the results.  He was very accommodating to our needs in dealing with our pets and our kids schedule.  His estimate for the length of time to complete the job was way off though.  He estimated 10 to 12 days and it took approximately 19 days.

Again, Larry was on time and on budget.  We are thrilled with how the room turned out.  Larry also came back to touch up the baseboard trim that was exposed when we installed new carpet.
Larry is thorough and thoughtful, and full of creative ideas.  He listens to your plans and executes them.  He also found some key items to spruce up the room (new outlets, new HVAC vents, etc.).
Larry is polite and considerate.  Cleanup at the end of each day was complete and thorough.  Larry is the proverbial small business contractor that goes the extra mile for his clients.
We will be bringing Larry back to tackle several other projects in the future.

Larry was great!  From inception to conclusion of the project he was very professional and attentive.  He took the time to sit with my wife and I quite extensively (2 visits) before we started and helped us with some decisions.  He was very helpful with his advice and had some great ideas.  His quote was top notch (fair price and very well laid out).  He follow-up and communication with me throughout the process was great; he always kept in touch and got back to me quickly whenever I had a question or concern.The paint work he did was outstanding!  The rooms look great.  We have a 100 year old house and he worked very hard to prep all the walls and smooth things out as much as possible.  He made our crown molding look like new.I would certainly recommend Larry...he was a very nice guy to work with and I happy to now have a qualified painter in our arsenal.PTG

I cannot say enough good things about how satisfied I am with Larwrence Carani Decorating!   I was scambling to recover a rental home that had been badly abused.  It was dirty with some big holes in the walls, cracks in the plaster and other damages.  Mr Carani & I worked out an initial attack plan to scope out the work including working around several other activities such as carpet installation. The dynamics on this job caused the timing and scope of these activities to change several times impacting the day to day plan.  Mr Carani responded to this by being flexible, working tirelessly to meet the overall goal including work over a weekend.   We ended up doing more than originally anticipated.  He was very conscientious and in some cases resisted my requests to take "shortcuts"  which would have negatively affected the overall quality of the work.   For example, in the dining room we ended up stripping several layers of paint and wall paper down to the original wall surface.  I'm glad we did because it turned out to actually be rather "fun" and,  the job still came in on time, on price with several repairs that were not originally anticipated and, looking better than it ever had in the 31 years we have owned that house.  I am extremely greatful to Lawrence Carani Decorating for the great quality work completed at a reasonable price in a very challenging fluid work environment and for the personal interest and involvement of Mr. Carani himself.   I will definitely use this company next time!

Overall it was a very good job.  Larry was exceedingly polite.  He was a very neat worker and worked quickly and efficiently.  We were quite pleased with the result of his work.

Larry was the most thorough of the three contractors I solicited estimates from, documenting all my requirements. His estimate was very thorough, defining steps, materials, etc. Larry was a tireless worker, and brought the job in on time and on budget. His attention to detail and skill are top-notch. Larry would clean up after every day he worked, vaccuuming, etc. At the end of every "shift", he would update me on progess, when he would be back next, and what he would accomplish in the next one-two days work.
